General Hospital Spoilers: Discover Ava Jerome’s New Love Interest – Who Is This Game-Changer?
General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal that there are many women in Port Charles who truly need love, but none more than Ava Jerome (Maura West). Today, we will discuss the man who should be with Ava (Maura West) to add some excitement.
Ava’s Been Into Two Men Lately-Sort Of!
Ava has recently been involved with two men; one was someone she cared for, or at least thought she did, while the other was simply a handsome distraction.
I’m referring to Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly); Cody hardly paid attention to Ava, as he was more interested in Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos). Honestly, I’m not convinced that Ric ever truly held a place in Ava’s heart.
I doubt she loved him. It seems Ava developed a crush on her lawyer, and they shared great chemistry-however, it’s doubtful Ric sparked any deep feelings in her.
Additionally, I think part of Ava’s attraction to Ric stemmed from her competitive nature. She was aware that Ric still had feelings for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), and Ava wanted him to pick her over the seemingly perfect Elizabeth.
Ric Used Her For Money And Cody Did Too-Just More Indirectly!
Ric wanted to be with Liz, but she rejected him. So, he ended up with Ava, who was attractive and provided a steady income until her funds dried up, leading them to engage in blackmail.
However, Ric and Ava’s relationship was not true love-they had any long-term future together for many reasons. As for Cody, he was merely a plaything for Ava to use to provoke Ric; there was no future for Cody and Ava either; it was just part of Kristina Corinthos-Davis’s (Kate Mansi) plan. Still, Ava deserves a romantic partner because a seductive bad girl like her shouldn’t be overlooked.
Ava Likes The Bad Boys And Tries To Make Good Boys Go Wrong
Ric is a typical choice for Ava-she often goes for extremes, picking villains or very good guys; Ric is a villain, just like Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) was when she dated him. One decent guy she dated was Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen), but he couldn’t handle her bad girl ways and ended up with her daughter Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin).
She also thought she loved Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), but she was actually with his psycho brother Ryan Chamberlain (also Jon Lindstrom).
She also tends to seduce somewhat shifty lawyers, she had an affair with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) too. Now, let’s see who might catch Ava Jerome’s attention in Port Charles.
Sidwell’s Flirty With Ava, But He’s An Obvious Womanizer
Unfortunately, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has noticed her, but he’s an obvious womanizer-he went from Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) to Ava and smooching around with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring)!
They’ve been flirting since he arrived-initially, Ava wanted to sell him expensive art because she was broke. But Sidwell’s charm won her over, and they share connections with Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and Marco Rios (Adrian Anchando).
He likes Ava mainly because of her link to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) through their daughter, Avery Corinthos (Ava & Grace Scarola).
Sidwell could harm her without a second thought if it benefited him-Sonny would be furious if she dated Sidwell and would try to keep Avery away from her.
Who Else Might There Be For Ava?
Who else is single and looking in Port Charles that could attract Ava-it could be intriguing to see Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) with Ava (Maura West).
But he might not actually be Nathan—just someone else using his face like a mask. Imagine Ava thinking she’s with charming Cop Nathan, only to discover it’s really Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) or his terrible son Peter August (Wes Ramsey) behind that face.
It would be a repeat of Ava’s shock from the Ryan and Kevin twist. And we nearly forgot the late Silas Clay (Michael Easton) her daughter Kiki’s birth father, and Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) first husband.
The Chemistry’s There, But No More Chances With Sonny
Ava clearly has feelings for Sonny..remember when GH hinted at them being together while Sonny’s meds were messed up by the corrupt pharmacist? It was Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) behind that, right, prompted by Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna)? Ava was living in Sonny’s penthouse and developing feelings for him; there seemed to be some affection. There could be a real romance between Ava and Sonny, but it’s doubtful the GH writers will go for it. Many fans would be upset if Ava and Sonny got together seriously, especially since Avery was created in the Quartermaine mausoleum!
Some More No-Goes In Spite Of Chemistry
In the same way, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is single, but he would rather set himself on fire than be with Ava. Her role in his brother Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) death makes the thought of them together a nightmare for Dante. Professor Hank Dalton (Daniel Goddard) could have worked with Ava (Maura West), but after Sidwell made Dalton a dead man in Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) trunk, that’s not happening.
Let’s go back to Cody because I thought he and Ava had some chemistry and potential. However, Cody has a crush on Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).
Jason’s A No-Go, But He Hates Ava
General Hospital will stick with the slow burn between the cowboy and the lady lawyer. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is single, but he dislikes Ava and is clearly meant for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), so he’s not an option. However, there is one more interesting option for Ava who would definitely be a match made in hell! Interestingly enough, it’s really, really, close to being matched with Jason, a lot closer than Franco, who thought for years Jason was his brother!
Drew And Ava-A Match Made In Hell?
But who could be a bad match for Ava; this guy is married now, but that won’t last-what about Congressman Cutthroat, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)? We know Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) hates her husband and will cut Drew out soon-he’ll be angry and alone and Willow will make it clear they won’t be together. So, Drew will need someone new to focus on, why not Ava, she tends to do better with bad guys, and Drew is definitely one.
Ava doesn’t mind a bit of crazy in her partners-she was with Franco during his dark times. Plus, Ava seems to like Nina’s leftovers, like with Ric, and Nina said the sex was hot; so, if Drew shifted his obsession from Willow to Ava, it could work.
