General Hospital Spoilers: Cody Worries Dante Could Be Right — Will He Call Off the Lawsuit?
General Hospital Spoilers tease Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is eager to hit the jackpot with this WSB lawsuit. His best friend, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), clearly doesn’t approve of his plans to sue the WSB for compensation over the ice princess necklace — a wreath of diamonds and rubies that he is pretending belonged to him. Dante knows the truth — that Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia) was the diamond’s rightful owner and Cody is not his son. Rather, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is Cody’s dad. With Dante breathing down Cody’s neck, will he take a step back and consider whether his best friend might be right and call this lawsuit off altogether?
General Hospital Spoilers — Dante Doesn’t Approve
Dante lives by a strong and firm moral code. Cody might not take that very seriously given that he took the fall for Dante years ago for a crime that Dante committed. But his childhood chum has clearly made something of himself at the PCPD, and Cody doesn’t seek to disrupt that. However, he wishes that Dante would also stay out of his way. Cody is on the fast track to striking it rich -– or so he thinks — and Dante is trying to impede that.
GH Spoilers Say What About Mac?
Dante will continue to remind Cody that he may regret this someday. If he pursues this lawsuit and wins compensation — or even if he doesn’t — he could be held liable for perjuring himself by pretending that Leopold was his father when he knew he wasn’t. It might have been different if there wasn’t already a DNA test on record, but there is. And it confirmed that Mac is Cody’s biological father. Moreover, it’s going to bother Dante on a personal level how Cody seems to care so little for his real dad. The fact that he has made this decision for him — knowing that he will never be able to tell Mac the truth — will lead Dante to question whether Cody deserves his loyalty.
General Hospital Spoilers — Scott Complicates Matters
When Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) circles back around and tells Cody there was no way to pursue the lawsuit without requesting that Leopold’s body be exhumed, we can be certain that Cody is going to be ticked. He explicitly told Scott he did not want to make this move. But Scott is going to meet his rebuttal, insisting that this is the only way to prove Cody was the rightful owner of the necklace. With everything working against him, is it possible that Cody will take Dante’s comments to heart and reconsider this lawsuit — possibly considering telling Mac the truth?
