General Hospital Spoilers: Cody Aims to Clear His Name — and Needs Sam’s Help to Do It
General Hospital spoilers say Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) has been trying so hard since landing in Port Charles to make a name for himself as an honest and upstanding dude. He got off to a rocky start with Britt Wetsbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and the necklace debacle, and he might still be lying about who his real father is, but otherwise, the guy is trying to be good. Now, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has him right where she wants him — charged with being a jewel thief. Cody isn’t sure how he’s going to get out of this with how solid the evidence against him seems to be. Convincing a jury that he is innocent beyond a reasonable doubt won’t be easy given that he came to town to run a con on a dying woman over a piece of jewelry. As desperate times call for desperate measures, Cody is going to call on Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to help him out. Is she up to the task?

Sure, Sam is a private investigator and that comes with perks, but what makes her the perfect ally in Cody’s fight for justice is that Sam also thinks Gladys is as shady as they come — and she’s not afraid to say so. If Cody is in the wrong, she would tell him just the same. But Sam believes that Gladys is up to no good, and she won’t hesitate to get to the bottom of what really happened at the Nurses’ Ball, even if it smears Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) cousin in the end.

Cody will have to share every detail with Sam if he’s going to rely on her to get him out of this mess. Okay, not every detail, but she’s going to nose around a bit and things could get personal. For instance, why does Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattson) matter so much to him anyway? Just what is this torch he appears to be carrying? How does he know Gladys is the one who is framing him — and what dirt does he have on her? If he can’t prove it, Sam will have to.

We can trust that Sam is probably Cody’s way out of this mess, and that might leave him feeling indebted to her, and possibly more concerned than he was before about carrying on with Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) lie of omission. Nonetheless, rumor has it Sam is going to unearth the truth about Gladys’ gambling problems and illegal dipping into Sasha’s bank accounts. When she discovers this truth, telling the police will be the easy part. It’s Sasha who isn’t going to want to hear it. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
