Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) upcoming trip to Russia with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) has a sense of urgency. Before he flies to Chechnya, Valentin will think it’s imperative to discuss the Pikeman Group with Sonny. However, this move raises a number of questions. Why did Valentin bring a defense contractor to Sonny, and what’s his end goal? Is Valentin’s interest purely personal or is there is something more at stake for him that he’s not letting on? Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has always been a man with a plan, and his plan up until now, his plan has been to stick to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) like glue while pretending to work for Sonny. But the tides have turned, and now Dex is being charged with making sure Sonny doesn’t get in over his head in this new territory with a federal defense contractor. The plan Dex mapped out for Sonny before had some serious holes in it, as it was supposed to. He wanted the guy to go to prison, remember? But it wasn’t lost on Dex that he was able to botch the whole pan without Pikeman or Sonny noticing. It would only strengthen Sonny’s game to know that, but how can Dex clue him in without unraveling the truth about what he’s been up to all this time that he was a plant in the organization?
