General Hospital Spoilers: Chase is Back to Beat Cop Life — Is It a Death Sentence?
General Hospital spoilers tease Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is one of several leading men who have been coming up in discussion lately involving a worrisome rumor that GH is about to lose one of them — permanently.
Or at least, as permanently as anyone can be lost on a show that regularly brings people back from the grave. Anyway, with the theory circulating that someone is getting the ax and they’re going to be killed off, the fan speculation has run wild.
It makes some sense that it could be Chase, given that his storyline has been a bit stale since his whole family vanished in one fell swoop. Absorbing the Quartermaines has been charming, but it hasn’t replaced the role his father and brother played in his life.
Now that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has relegated Chase back to the streets as a patrolman, it has me wondering if his days are numbered before he’s taken out in the line of duty.
The Blame Game Will Be Fierce
Just imagine if Chase goes crawling back to the PCPD to keep his job and decides he will rebuild it all from scratch. He’s not thrilled about it, and he has no idea whether his relationship with Dante will ever be able to be repaired.
But he knows he wants to be a cop, so starting at the ground level is what he’ll have to do to get back to detective status.
He’s just in time for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) to have a war abrupt, or for Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) to spark WSB chaos that brings the PCPD to the scene. Is Chase going to end up in the line of fire?
GH Spoilers Leak Willow Will Amp Up the Dramatics
If we lose Chase, it’ll be a loss the entire fan base feels — and Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) might just be his biggest one right now.
If he dies, expect her to roll out the red carpet for herself at his funeral. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) might be his widow, but onlookers could get confused if they see Willow sobbing over a casket.
She might’ve thought sticking it to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was her last step before pursuing something again with Chase — her latest hero — but she’s got another thing coming from the Q’s if she doesn’t keep her theatrics under control.
The Guilt Could Eat Dante Alive
In the aftermath of such a loss, Dante will grieve this one hard — not only because Chase is his friend and partner, but because he’s the one who demoted him.
If Dante wasn’t so hard on him, necessarily or not, Chase wouldn’t end up in the dangerous situations that come with being a beat cop.
Costing Brook Lynn the future she was going to have with him will sting twice as much because Dante knows exactly what it feels like to be blindsided and lose the person you were planning your forever with. He has essentially endured it twice
. If Chase dies, it could change Dante in ways we’ll never see him recover from. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
