General Hospital Spoilers: Carly’s Recovery Road Ahead – Long-Term Health Complications Due To Poisoning?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) may have a long road ahead when it comes to recovery. Her polonium poisoning at the hands of Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was no joke, and while she didn’t lose her life in the ordeal, it could flip her world upside down due to health complications.
Will Carly Spencer Bounce Back?
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Carly won’t seem like herself during the Wednesday, March 19 episode, and rightfully so. After all, she was knocking on death’s door thanks to Valentin.
Still, during the Wednesday show, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) will hop into action to find the Cassadine and bring him to justice. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) won’t be too far behind, either.
Still, while Carly will be grateful that her life was saved, is this the beginning of a new storyline for her? Will there be health complications surrounding her recovery? It wouldn’t be overly challenging for the writers to come up with a condition or aftermath symptoms that act as an obstacle for her to hurdle over.
After all, while she was given the poison antidote that saved her life, it took a little while to get the medicine to her. It may have been quick enough to allow her to live, but possibly long enough to create health issues.
The Guilt Factor
Whether or not Valentin “pays” for Carly’s poisoning doesn’t really matter at this point. The damage is done. Brennan and Carly had just done the deed before she got poisoned; he proclaimed she owned his heart during the Tuesday, March 19 episode.
This is interesting, as should Carly have long-term health issues and need extensive therapy to recover, Brennan (and Carly’s loved ones) will inevitably blame himself for what’s happened.
The WSB agent will blame himself regardless, but Carly’s added suffering, especially since she’s a mom to a small child, will be a hard thing for him to watch. Plus, health complications due to her poisoning could cause issues in their new romance, on so many levels.
