In addition, she’s been trying to give her brother Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) a second chance as he embarks on a mission to become a better person, but she has been on the fence. While Cyrus has been trying to develop a relationship with his sister, Laura has been wary.
Now that Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) has been shot, Ms. Collins is that much more skeptical.

GH spoilers hint that Laura has attempted to give Cyrus the benefit of the doubt; however, she recently was concerned that her brother was at the helm of Austin’s shooting.
After all, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) provided some interesting information regarding a connection Renault had to the good doctor, and how Austin was going to turn him in.
This led her to approach Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about it, and while the mob boss isn’t exactly friends with Cyrus, he did tell her that he didn’t think Renault was connected to Austin’s murder.
GH Spoilers: Will Laura Collins Learn That Nikolas Cassadine Is Behind It?
All arrows seem to be pointing to the idea that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) could be Austin’s killer. He’s mysteriously vanished from the canvas, but fans know that he likely continues to stay updated on all the happenings in Port Charles.
As Austin knew the person who shot him (based on his reaction before he got shot), many fans have been speculating that Nik was behind his murder. After all, he likely had a key to his Pautauk home, and there wasn’t a forced entry to get into the house by the perpetrator.
Plus, Ava Jerome (Maura West) is getting stalked with “you’re welcome” notes and Polaroids of Austin’s dead body. It’s hard not to think that Nik is behind all this and that he’s taunting his ex-wife from afar.
