General Hospital spoilers tease that despite Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) warnings, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has invested her own money in Aurora Media even as the plan to merge ELQ and Aurora comes to a vote within the Quartermaine family. Michael and Drew now feel an added pressure to be successful, because if things don’t work out, it’s now Carly who could lose big!

In addition to the money Carly has invested, she also has the Metro Court which she owns. But if things happen to go awry with the Aurora/ELQ merger, Carly could find herself in a position to have to sell the Metro Court in order to help cover her losses. Things could change quite a bit for Carly. But how will she react if she suddenly loses most of her money? Carly hasn’t really felt the need to have anyone support her, least of all a man. But could she return to her gold digger ways?
GH Spoilers – Carly Corinthos no longer has the backing of Sonny Corinthos!
Another big change for Carly is the fact that she no longer has the support, either financially or emotionally, of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard). Sonny and Carly divorced after Sonny came back from Nixon Falls. Sonny couldn’t give up his feelings for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Carly wasn’t about to compete with anyone for Sonny’s love. She hasn’t gotten romantically involved with anyone else, although she seems to have an attraction to Drew.

If Carly does lose big because of her investment, she may get a little bitter. But in the end, she will have no one to blame but herself. Both Drew and Michael warned Carly about investing her own funds in this merger. They knew it was a huge risk, and they didn’t want Carly to lose because of their plans. Would Carly blame Drew and Michael if that happened? If Carly loses the Metro Court, it could end up the beginning of a huge lifestyle change that Carly isn’t prepared for.
