General Hospital Spoilers: Can Lucas Trust Ava’s Support If Marco and Sidwell Want Sonny Dead?

General Hospital spoilers tease Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) is still settling in at Wyndemere and loving every minute of being with his beau, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).

Of course, Lucas has no idea what his boyfriend is really up to — conspiring with his father, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) — to take down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

With Lucas currently on the outs with his sister, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), I question how much he would care if Sonny wasn’t around anymore.

At the same time, there’s no way Lucas wants Marco to be a part of any of it. While Carly hasn’t been the friend Lucas has needed, he found unending support from his aunt, Ava Jerome (Maura West).

But should he really be trusting her when she stands to gain so much from her involvement with Sidwell?

Now, we have the inside scoop from Sidwell that he fancies Ava and not Lucy. That’s going to bode well for the gallery owner’s ego, but will she be blinded by his power and charms like she is every other man? Don’t forget that Ava stands to benefit if Sidwell succeeds in his attempt to take Sonny out; it would leave her with sole custody of Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

Sure, Ava and Sonny are chill with each other right now, but we’ve seen that before. She’s got to be getting tired of that apartment she was forced to move into as part of an overall downgrade in her life.

Someone like Sidwell spends the right kind of money to get Ava back to a more comfortable way of life. Ava would forsake Sonny in an instant for the right amount of money, status, and clout.

Conflict of Interest

So what does this mean for Lucas? He’s been yucking it up, binge-watching tv shows and girl-talking with Ava for months. She supported his new relationship when his normal biggest-supporter, Carly, did not.

That meant something to Lucas, but it’s as though he didn’t even consider that Ava is tangentially involved in Sidwell and clearly interested in the guy.
