General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Drags Her Feet On Selling Wyndemere As She Worries Nikolas Is Still Out There

General Hospital spoilers claim Ava Jerome (Maura West) was eager to unload the damp and musty mansion she once vied for in her divorce from Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).

She couldn’t wait to get off of Spoon Island and start fresh on the mainland. But she never expected the terms that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) would bring forth.

A mystery buyer who wants to remain anonymous? That’s not suspicious at all! Now that Ava knows the bank in Switzerland has confirmed to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that Nikolas was there in person, she has every reason to worry he’s not really dead.

If her ex-husband is alive and well, it stands to reason he’ll come around to pay her back for what she did to him eventually. Does she really have to watch her back forever?

Ava doesn’t really care who owns Wyndemere and Spoon Island anymore. She just doesn’t want to. Looking back, some part of her probably thinks she should have unloaded it in the divorce and let him have it.

But she was bitter then and knew it would hurt him for her to retain his family legacy home.

He might think she’s refusing to sell for the same reason, but the reality is she’s not looking to give Nikolas a safe haven in Port Chuck to hide out in.

GH Spoilers Leak Someone Ups the Ante

Lucy hasn’t told Ava who the potential buyer is, but it’s going to stun Ava when that same buyer rebukes Ava’s refusal with an even larger number.

Just how high are they going to go and will there be a breaking point at which Ava cashes in? It depends on how much she values her own safety, and that of Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) — who was the real one in danger the last time Ava saw her shifty ex-husband.

Regardless, it’s going to send the message that the mystery buyer is so interested that they’ll overpay for the property just to get what they want and get it now. If that doesn’t sound like Nikolas, Ava won’t know what does.

Some fans think Nikolas may be trying to regain control of the Cassadine empire. Others have suggested it could be Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Linstrom) — still somehow alive and well — who is taunting her. Unlikely.

If he were alive, he’d be locked up again. He certainly wouldn’t be able to purchase a home. But Nikolas was supposed to be dead, too. So is Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), but that hasn’t stopped fans from questioning whether it’s him.
