General Hospital Spoilers: Anna is Devastated — But Not Half as Much as Valentin

General Hospital spoilers reveal Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) relationship with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is in dire straits.

Some would say it’s already dead in the water. Valentin made a major move against their relationship when he decided to hide the truth about Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) conviction against Anna.

Allowing his lady love to continue to worry that someone was trying to kill her when all along it was a mere teenager stalking her was quite cruel, and Anna will come to see it that way in the coming days as the dust settles and she can process everything.

For now, she needs to get a grip on the guilt she feels, despite knowing she was robbed of the chance to have the full scope of information.

Had she known that the person in her living room was Charlotte, she never would have shot her. Had Valentin been honest with her, this would have ended differently. Instead, it’s ending entirely.

General Hospital Spoilers — Anna’s Biggest Mistake

Anna is never going to forgive herself for pulling the trigger on a teenager. She’ll be more careful in the future about making grandiose leaps to assuming who might be targeting her, that’s for certain.

For now, she has to pick up the pieces of her shattered life and rebuild, and it’s going to be hard for her to do that without understanding Charlotte’s motivations.

Valentin might have been helpful enough to clue Anna in on his suspicions about Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) involvement, but it all came too little, too late.

Now, Anna will struggle to put the pieces of this puzzle together even though she’s the most qualified to do it. Victor is toying with her from beyond, using Charlotte as a pawn in his sick game.

GH Spoilers Spill Trusting Valentin is Where She First Went Wrong

Anna might have made the mistake that brought all of the truth to light, but it was trusting Valentin’s version of it that first led her astray.

She’ll have to be careful not to blame him in the wake of his daughter’s shooting, but it’s not wrong to say none of this would have happened if he had been honest.

His interest in protecting his daughter might be noble, but it never had to come at Anna’s expense — nor cost him their relationship. Now, it’s going to cost all of them everything.

General Hospital Spoilers — Valentin Can’t Move Past This Either

Anna won’t be able to move past Valentin keeping her in the dark as though she couldn’t handle the truth or would have weaponized it against Charlotte.

Furthermore, Valentin won’t be able to manage the heaping pile of guilt he’s riddled with. Anna doesn’t have to point the finger of blame at him.

He knows he’s partially accountable for this. What will be difficult is convincing Charlotte she had any role in it by breaking and entering into a home that isn’t her own.

Will Valentin and Anna be able to work together to spare Charlotte any more of Victor’s games while their own relationship disintegrates before their eyes? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out
