General Hospital Spoilers: As Kristina and Molly Diverge on Their Opinions of Sonny, Their Opinions About the Baby May Also Change

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) is on the brink of what could be a major psychotic break. She adores her father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and doesn’t want to see any harm come to him.

Likewise, her sister, Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos), isn’t exactly relishing the thought of prosecuting Sonny. Still, she takes her job seriously, and Kristina knows that. Kristina also knows what nailing Sonny to the wall and putting him in prison for the rest of his life would do for Molly’s career — catapulting her to the top of headlines and making her a worldwide recognized name in law.

As Kristina struggles to accept the man her father might really be, and Molly pushes for the whole world to see him as a murderous monster, their surrogacy plans may go up in smoke. What does that mean for the baby on board?

General Hospital Spoilers — A Breakdown is Underway

When Kristina first had words with Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) about Sonny, it wasn’t clear to us whether Kristina was truly blind to the truth about her pops, or she was just willing to defend him under attack even when he’s wrong.

Now, we know better. Kristina is great at compartmentalizing, so says Molly, and maybe that’s all there is to this. Mentally and emotionally, Kristina can’t seem to handle the reality of the man her dad is, and she doesn’t want anyone else highlighting his flaws or forcing her to see them.

The more that Joss pushes her buttons on this, the more she spirals. So what happens when it’s Molly who is stepping into Joss’ shoes and insisting Sonny is guilty of the charges against him?

GH Spoilers Hint TJ Speaks Up

TJ has already had concerns that Kristina isn’t the most stable surrogate choice. She is emotionally labile from day to day. She seeks validation for her own misguided feelings and beliefs. And for TJ, it was too much that Kristina even went out to a bachelorette party at a nightclub when she is pregnant with his child.

That’s the writing on the wall. It’s his child, and legally, it’s Kristina’s child, too. Molly has no legal claim to the baby on board, and that may make for rough waters ahead if Kristina can’t accept Molly’s pursuit of justice against her father. This is bigger than revenge or bitterness though.

Molly can’t easily relinquish this case and refuse to do it. She already tried. She may attempt to negotiate with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), but it’ll be clear he and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) want to maintain an image of neutrality for their daughter’s sake. But what about Molly’s child’s sake?

Without any legal claim to the baby Kristina is carrying, we may see Krissy’s feelings about letting Molly raise her child change drastically. The harder Molly comes at Sonny, the more Kristina may pull away from Molly and TJ.
