General Hospital Laura Wright Reveals Terror & Excitement – Why?

Laura Wright, who plays Carly Spencer on the daytime soap opera, General Hospital, revealed she feels some terror but is, at the same time, overwhelmed with excitement. Read on to find out why the actress is at sixes and sevens this week.
What’s Going On?
On Thursday, Laura took to her Instagram profile and shared more photos of her stunning curly hair that fans admire so much. Anytime she shares a photo like that, they wonder why the producers won’t let her style her hair that way on GH.

However, this time, her post wasn’t about her hair. Instead, she told her 374K followers that it was her birthday. While it wasn’t a special milestone birthday, like turning 21, 40, or 60, it meant a lot to her on September 11, 2025.

In her caption, the real-life Carly Spencer wrote:
54 – so happy so terrified so excited so scared so grateful so anxious so content so incredibly human and I love it all !!! Ok 55 Let’s Go.
Fans React To The Post

Laura Packed A Lot Into Life
At 55, Laura Wright seems to have packed a lot into her life. And isn’t that what life is about? The famous TV star, born on September 11 and raised in Maryland, did well, considering she started her working life at a gas station.
By 21, her acting career took off with a role as Allison “Ally” Rescott in Loving. Then came much more, and it seemed great for her as she’d always wanted to act. However, it was as Cassie Layne Winslow on Guiding Light that recognition rocketed after she won a Soap Opera Digest Award.
With the arrival of Carly on General Hospital, the award nominations kept pouring in, and she took home the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2011.
Apart from acting, she shares well-being and yoga, which are also her passions. Recently, her fans fell in love with her a bit more when she openly discussed the problems women face with menopause.
In Love & Loving Life
These days, the mother of two and former wife of John Wright lives with her new man, Wes Ramsey, and they seem very devoted to their dog, Kimba.
