General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Will Ryan’s Death Again Cause Kevin To Spiral – Take On His Persona?

General Hospital  (GH) spoilers and rumors tease that Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) real death could again cause his twin, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) to spiral. Though Kevin seemed to have closure when he looked at his body, could he take on his persona again like he did after the funhouse fire?

General Hospital Spoilers – Ryan Chamberlain’s First “Death”

Ryan appeared to have died, and vanished for around twenty-five years when Kevin, Lucy Coe, (Lynn Herring) and two others chased him to a Canadian amusement park. Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio, then Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) also followed because Ryan was obsessed with Felicia and had kidnapped baby Georgie Jones (Lindze Letherman). Ryan was fascinated with Felicia’s baby and named her “Celeste”, meaning “angel” and after she was rescued Kevin chased him into a house of mirrors.

The chase ended with Ryan stepping into a door and appearing to set off an explosive, with him catching on fire, and in the flames his and Kevin’s dead mother appeared. Considering what happened to Kevin afterwards, one has to wonder if Kevin’s break from reality happened then-twenty five years later, it was revealed the DVX took Ryan from the funhouse alive.

General Hospital Updates – Kevin Collins Blamed Himself For Ryan Chamberlain’s Death

Afterwards, Kevin blamed himself for Ryan’s death, which is probably why he tried so hard to “fix” him when the DVX contacted him around twenty-five years later. Kevin was married to Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) at that time, and even though she, Mac and Felicia encouraged him to not blame himself for Ryan’s “suicide” he took it hard. Kevin had studied to be a psychiatrist because of all the horrible things he and his twin had endured growing up. Their parents, Victor Collins (Nicholas Pryor) and Melanie Chamberlain (Joy Claussen) had divorced over Melanie’s sexual abuse of both Kevin and Ryan, and she died at Ryan’s hand. Ryan stayed with her, Kevin stayed with their father, who was a spy and also a professor, Ryan taking her maiden name and Kevin keeping their father’s.

The Psychic Twin Connection, Kevin Collins’ Guilt

When Ryan “died” in the fire, Kevin saw him blow himself up, catch fire, and their mother come to him in the flames. This time, after being shot dead by Mac Scorpio in defence of Ava Jerome (Maura West) Kevin felt the psychic twin connection and already knew Ryan was dead. This time was different because he pulled the body bag open and checked, and wished his dead brother peace in the next life.

Still, Kevin failed to heal Ryan – but this time he has some closure; the last time Kevin had a mental break and took on Ryan’s persona and stalked and kidnapped Felicia. Remembering his abuse by his mother hadn’t helped, either, but perhaps this time it’ll be different; or will Kevin again break down and “resurrect” Ryan in himself?
