General Hospital (GH) spoilers show that fans of Robert Gossett and his portrayal of Marshall Ashford have something to celebrate as the actor has been put on contract. The ABC sudser has signed the veteran actor to its cast meaning he will be a regular part of the daytime drama going forward.

Marshall Ashford is the long-lost dad of stand-up guy Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). How did Curtis turn out so well with a question mark such as Marshall for a father? In large part, his balance is owed to his Aunt Stella (Vernee Watson) who raised him after Marshall went out for a newspaper or ice cream or some other asinine ruse and never returned home.

His two boys were heartbroken and decades later Marshall has returned to claim what he thinks is his. In today’s episode, he told a stunned Stella that he is Curtis’ family, not her. No doubt fans wanted to reach through the tv and pull his ear because his callow disregard for the gutsy woman was disgusting.

Sadly, soon after his rude diss to Stella, she had another health-related emergency. Explosive show spoilers reveal that Curtis declares he is calling 911 and we fear that Stella might not make it this time.
