General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that there are more tough times ahead in Nixon Falls. Just as Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) and his wife Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) were starting to get their lives back to normal after their bar was robbed and vandalized, Lenny’s health has begun to deteriorate. At first Lenny believed it was his heart that was the problem, but a second opinion provided even worse news, Lenny has pancreatic cancer.

As viewers know, Phyllis and Lenny have taken in Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), who has amnesia and is calling himself “Mike”. Mike has become extremely close to the couple who took him in. But Phyllis has another connection to Port Charles. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was Phyllis’ patient while Nina was in her twenty-year-long coma, at least for a good portion of the time, for certain during the time that Nina was pregnant. Nina’s mother Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills), asked Phyllis to take Nona’s baby to its adoptive parents in Florida. Not knowing if Nina would ever wake up, Phyllis believed that was doing the right thing. The two of them reconnected not all that long ago, so when Nina was trying to get away from Port Charles, her first stop was Nixon Falls!

But Nina received quite a shock when she realized that “Mike” was really Sonny Corinthos. And although her first instinct was to call Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and let her know that her husband was alive, Carly was so rude to Nina over the phone that Nina hung up instead. She has struggled over the last few months trying to decide if she should tell Sonny who he is. But things became even more complicated when they began to have feelings for each other. So Nina decided to leave Nixon Falls for a while but now with the news of Lenny’s medical crisis, Nina returned as quickly as she could.

General Hospital Spoilers – The Days Will Only Get Harder For Lenny And Phyllis Caulfield!

Phyllis has tried to remain optimistic but as each day passes, Lenny’s condition will likely get a bit worse. So while they still have time together, look for Nina and “Mike” to plan for their last days together to be as romantic as possible. While with Lenny’s health, they won’t likely be able to travel. So look for Nina to turn the Tan-O into a special place for Lenny and Phyllis. Perhaps it’s a city like London or Paris, or perhaps somewhere like Hawaii. Wherever it is, look for Nina to make it look as realistic as possible. But Nina also promised Lenny to make sure that Phyllis faces the truth once that time comes, so this could very well be the last night of happiness for quite a while. For his part, “Mike” will grow even more attracted to Nina and will once again try to make love to her. And this time, Nina might just give in to her temptation!
