General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Maurice Benard talked about his alter ego’s breakup with Carly Corinthos ( Laura Wright) and his feelings for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
The actor hinted that even if his character is a powerful mob boss, he can’t fix his problems with Nina and Carly on his own. He needs help and someone who can help find a solution. Things became a lot more complicated when he hit the sheets with Nina and Carly caught them together.
General Hospital Spoilers – Filming The Fallout
The actor had a great time filming the fallout scenes. He considered it a great success. At that time, Sonny tried to apologize to Carly for what he did but she’s not giving him a chance to explain. So he decided to be like the old Sonny and just fight.
“It was great! It was vicious. I did some scenes yesterday with Cynthia that probably weren’t as great as I think they are, but what we were doing was subtle, man, and I was like, ‘Yes. This is like movie acting!’ he said.
“I told Cynthia, and I think I told Frank [Valentini, executive producer], ‘Our relationship is like Robert De Niro and Sharon Stone in Casino,’” he added.
General Hospital Updates – Filming Scenes With Cameron Mathison
Benard also added that he’s having a blast filming scenes with Cameron Mathison, who plays Drew Cain on the daytime drama. The actor explained that his latest scenes with Mathison showed what mental illness is like. He’s extremely proud of the storyline and its writing.
Drew’s Quest To Find Out Victor’s Plan
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will go on a mission to find out the true objective of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). He may work with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) or Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to uncover the truth.
As for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), Victor will make a statement that will catch her by surprise. He may pin the blame on her for the trouble that’s happening between Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).
Victor believes that there’s still hope for everyone to come together if they just tried. He’ll also push Ava to make more effort so that the family will get back together. As for Spencer, he’ll also make some progress in his relationship with his father.

I quit watching because of the Sonny/nina garbage after nearly 30 years. Not entertaining at all, to me it's sickening

I’ve done the same thing after more than 40 years of watching General Hospital!! The writing isn’t what it used to be but the Sonny/Nina garbage t pushed it over the cliff for me. Complete garbage!
Boy, is he delusional! He's no Robert Dinero and boy is she no Sharon Stone. There's no-one else that sees that when they watch this mess with Sonny and Nina.
100 percent agree. Stopped watching too. That story is just too over the top. I love Maurice, but I absolutely hate Sonny now. ALWAYS thought Nina was a pathetic and vile human being. Why GH, why?
I agree I also stopped watching this garbage and I have watched it since 4/3/1963! the writers have totally ruined GH ~
I've said the same thing about a million times now! They've ruined the show and taken away from the characters that we have loved for years. They're supposed to bring in random characters that we want dead. Now we all want Sonny and Nina dead. That's what made me stop watching
Love Sonny and Nina! Time to shut off Carly and her hypocritical whiny ways. So self-righteous and after all she’s done in her life, no room to judge. Carly should look in the mirror, she might see the problem
