General Hospital (GH) stars Laura Wright and Wes Ramsey may play enemies on-screen as Carly Corinthos and Peter August, but in real life, they are very much in love and still going strong.
General Hospital: Off-Screen Love
In fact, the pair just celebrated four years since they met at a party and Ramsey asked for Wright’s number. They both shared that news on Instagram on Monday, with Ramsey writing a tender note to his real-life girlfriend. You can see his message below.
“What seemed to the outside world as a coincidence of circumstance (running into each other at a party after so many years) I knew instantly in that moment that my life as I knew it was shifting. When I use words like fate or destiny or magic, I think of that night 4 years ago this day, those first magnetic sequences, immediately asking for your number, the laughter that began with US right then & I feel so lucky to be alive to share all the moments left with you.”
Wright’s marking of the occasion on social media was short and sweet with her posting the same sentiments on both Twitter and Instagram.
“4yrs ago today this Handsome Fella asked for my number. #hellyeah”
On-Screen Enemies
Carly wouldn’t be saying that on-screen these days since she knows Peter is the one who set up Jason to make the cops believe it was Jason (Steve Burton) who killed Franco in cold blood (Roger Howarth) and not Peter. After all, Jason was the one standing right over the body.
Peter August worked with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) to make sure Gladys would lie and say she saw Jason disposing of the murder weapon when it was really Peter she saw. Gladys will do anything for a buck. When Carly learns Sonny’s cousin was involved, there will be hell to pay.
Carly and Peter’s confrontations are some of the first serious scenes these two have had with each other during Ramsey’s time on the soap and the actors are making the most of it. They definitely don’t look like they’re in love while Carly tries bullying Peter into fessing up. Stay tuned to General Hospital to see who really brings Peter August down.
