General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Is Mason Working On His Own Since His Boss — Victor — Died?
General Hospital spoilers suggest fans are mulling over the theory that Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) boss may have been Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). Since Victor’s rather timely demise, it’s possible that Mason could have branched out on his own — attempting to see to it that Ava Jerome (Maura West) was used for all that she’s worth. While some fans think Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) is up to no good, others think he may really be carrying a torch for Ava. He does seem to have a thing for damsels in distress, which is exactly what Ava was when he first happened upon her. As she continues to need his help, is he working against her to satisfy Mason‘s demands, or is he actually trying to tame his cousin and keep Ava safe?
General Hospital Spoilers — Helena Cassadine And Victor Cassadine Ruled The Gatlin Family
This theory proposes that Victor was ruling over Mason until the time of his death. But wait, what about that boss lady? Austin hinted to her several times during the first few months after his move to Port Charles. Is it possible that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) was the boss lady ordering Mason around, and that Austin never knew her by name? Austin may have become aware that Victor was leading Mason around by the jowls, and he may have then become interested only because of the attachment to Ava and her family.
General Hospital Updates – Mason Gatlin Went Rogue
Victor’s death would have left a gaping hole in Mason‘s plans. What was he supposed to do with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) at that point? A medical hostage lying in a coma, purportedly with a brain injury that would require extensive time to heal, how would Mason afford to keep Nicholas alive? Did Victor prepare for that in advance? Is it possible that Austin has been helping out since Victor’s death? Regardless, Austin never wanted back in the family business, and he made that very clear after he met Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). But when Mason turned his eye towards Maxie and her little girl, Austin got paranoid — possibly to the extent that he botched his relationship with her on purpose just to get her to steer clear of him. If Mason has gone rogue now, it stands to reason that Austin may be fearful of him. If he is, he might be doing all that he can to keep Mason at bay and away from Ava and her own daughter.
Austin Gatlin Holt Reels Him In
While many viewers are left wondering whether Austin is manipulating Ava into complying with Mason’s demands because he’s working with his sinister cousin, the reality could be that he’s just trying to keep the whole thing from imploding. If Austin knows that Nikolas is alive, but hasn’t told Ava, he may be hoping to keep him in a permanent coma — or worse. Either way, Austin is going to have his work cut out for himself trying to keep Mason from enacting any further harm on Ava and her family. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead to see how this plays out.
