General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: An Unlikely Alliance Forms Between Carly And Ava!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) are not what most people would call friends. Carly tolerated Ava when she had to for the sake of Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola), and Ava mostly doesn’t mind Carly now except when she feels like gossiping with her best friend, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) —- Carly’s number one enemy. When Carly and Ava sit down together over the holidays, and Ava shares the latest development in her personal life, she’s not going to receive the reception she would have predicted from Carly. No, Carly can completely relate to the situation Ava is in, and she just might want her to know it’s possible to let it all go and find happiness again.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Jerome Cassadine Is Still Reeling From Nik Cassidine’s Announcement

When Ava and Carly chat, it will be clear that Ava is not ready to just let it go yet. She wants blood. She wants to bring Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) to ruins for making a fool of her and a mockery of their marriage while stomping on her heart. She isn’t ready to forgive and forget. Instead, Ava is the type to wallow in her pain —- usually accompanying it with a stiff martini. Will Varly encourage her to move on more quickly? They might not be ready to impart advice to one another just yet but their newfound common ground is going to make both of them rethink what they previously thought about the other.

General Hospital Updates – Carly Spencer Can Commiserate

Carly certainly knows a thing or two about what it feels like to come second to Elizabeth. It’s one of the worst problems she used to have with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), considering his undying love for Liz. Carly sees herself as a ballsy woman who doesn’t let anyone tell her what to do and doesn’t need a man to save her. Ironically, Ava is much the same.

Maybe this is why they’ve butt heads so much in the past — you know, apart from Ava switching Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) bipolar medication and possibly contributing to his untimely death. It seems Ava and Carly have more than just a distaste for Elizabeth in common. They have both been betrayed the same way by the men they loved with all their hearts. Both of them had the leg up in their marriages while they were the ones who were supposed to be deciding where they wanted their unions with Nik and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to go. Instead, Nik pulled the rug out from under Ava and took the choice away from her, much like Sonny did to Carly when he jumped into bed with Nina. Ava is going to see this in a very different light now that it’s happened to her.

Nina Reeves Doesn’t Like It

How will Nina feel about Ava’s sudden decision to cozy up to Carly like bosom buddies? Will her insecurity show through to Ava just like it has been with Sonny? Will Ava tolerate that kind of possessive behavior out of a friend? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead to find out!

  • I could believe in a friendship between Carly/Ava more so than the BFF mess writers presented with the Nina/Carly alliance.
