General Hospital Spoilers: Carly is Concerned About Joss and Dex — and Joss Calls Her Mom a Hypocrite

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has concerns about Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and they’re not unwarranted. Dex does pose a risk to her daughter’s wellbeing. At the same time, right now he’s the sole person providing her the best chance at not being maimed by The Hook. Carly has shown some leeway though. She seemed pretty cool with Dex staying at the lake house with Joss so she wasn’t alone. However, she also knows she’s not going to be able to tell Joss what to do, who to date, or how to live her life.

There is something about Dex that Carly just might like, but weighed against the risks posed to Joss by dating a man who works for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), it doesn’t seem like a worthwhile risk to take in Carly’s book. Well if that isn’t the pot calling the kettle black! Carly has admitted to Joss she would be a hypocrite if she told her not to get involved with Dex, but that’s still the path she will ultimately take. How will Joss react to her mom’s well-intentioned pressure to stay the course with Cameron “Cam” Webber (William Lipton)?

General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Doesn’t Dig Dex

Carly’s issues with Dex aren’t personal to him, but they’re very personal to her. She probably doesn’t regret the choices she’s made in her life to marry Sonny and have children with him. Still, she’s self-aware enough to recognize she had much more stable relationships with other men, like Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and now, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Even her relationship with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) had a negative effect on her life at times, despite her wishing more than anything that he was still around. Carly has wanted what most mothers want for their daughters — a life better than she had for herself, and a child that learned from their mother’s mistakes. Wishful thinking?

GH Spoilers Tease Joss Couldn’t Care Less What Her Mom Thinks

When Carly expresses concern about Joss’ plans to end her relationship with Cam and move forward pursuing her interest in Dex, Carly is clearly going to have reservations about it. She knows she can’t tell Joss what to do, but she wishes she could make her daughter feel the gravity of that decision and just how much risk it can bring into her life. Furthermore, Carly knows the longer a woman is involved with mob men, the less likely she is to end up with someone who isn’t in that business circle.

Carly has bounced around from Sonny, to Jason, to Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash), and even Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King). She knows the adrenaline rush of being entangled with that kind of man and prays that’s not what is drawing Joss near to Dex. Still, she knows Joss could get hooked on that feeling and have a hard time letting go even if things don’t work out with this particular mob man. Joss isn’t going to listen to any of Carly’s dose of reason though.

General Hospital Spoilers — Plot Twist: Dex is Jason’s Son!

Of course, Dex may look like he’s working for Sonny, but he’s actually a plant put in place by the sweet and mannered Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), who is intent on destroying his father and everything he stands for. That being said, Michael has a lot going on in his own life and he’s tried to cease his plans twice now, but Dex just won’t cooperate and sees no need to back out now. It will stun everyone when the truth comes out that Dex has his own agenda against Sonny — avenging Jason’s death! Why does he care? Who will be the first person to figure out Dex is Jason’s son? • Dex needs to be Jason's son. He could have had some one night stand somewhere along the line that was offscreen.
1st Carly will love him unconditionally just because he is Jason's son, and she loved him. He will be welcomed into the Q family. Sam and Liz will have reason to be open to a friendship with him because he will be the half brother of Jake and Danny. Lastly, and most important Jason was a respected person of the criminal element in the region and the mob family Sonny heads. Once Sonny decides to retire or goes to jail, they will be more accepting of Dex to take the helm even if it is to keep competitors out of PC. (Dex could be a good guy wanting to take down criminals, what better thing to do than to pit them against each other) hiding in plan site. However what he/Michael were not planning was a worse criminal element coming to town to "fill the void" and put Joss and her family in danger. Michael, Spinelli, (wanting to protect Jason's 3 sons , may want to join in to help A new generation using cyber mafia tactics. trickery and deceit. malware and phishing, etc.
A lot of people in town owe Jason favors for being "super Jase" throughout the years. More will give Dex a chance.
Lastly Dex COULD be a good guy, he did not want to commit a federal crime by intimidating the juror. He can end up being a good guy ending up running the mob a year or two from
