General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of October 24, 2022 show that there is major traction in Elizabeth Webber Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) front burner plotline.
Both of her parents will be seen later this month, and they have a lot of explaining to do. Where have they been for decades, leaving Liz to face drama and trauma by herself? Are they negligent, busy, or both? We will get some answers soon.

As fans know, Liz is embroiled in a never ending mystery about her past, her present and lawd knows what else the writers will decide to throw in, maybe the kitchen sink to boot. After all they gave her hospital locker a starring turn ….
And so, after months and months of hearing Liz and her friends talk about her offscreen parents, fans will finally see them, hooray. The scoop is that William Moses has been cast as Jeff Webber, Liz’s father (MacGyver was unavailable).
Elizabeth’s mother Carolyn, will be played by Denise Crosby.

Both newbies have impressive resumes. Moses starred in the fan fave film Mystic Pizza and was in the nighttime soap Falcon Crest as Cole Gioberti. He also played Special Agent Lanford in How to Get Away with Murder.
Longtime fans will remember a younger version of dashing doctor Jeff Webber when he was played by none other than superstar Richard Dean Anderson. Anderson debuted in 1976 and stayed on until 1981.

Fans may recognize Crosby as the actress who played Lieutenant Tasha Yar on Star Trek: The Next Generation. She was also cast as Faye Richardson on the Meghan Markle cable drama Suits, and she starred as Deb on Ray Donovan.
Carolyn is a character new to soap fans and it should be interesting to see how the show spins the mother of Nurse Nightingale.
Fun Fact: Meghan Markle got her acting start on GH. Her dad Thomas Markle was the show’s lighting director and Meghan was cast as a background nurse. It’s a small world after all.
