If you were scrolling your social media over Christmas and the New Year, you probably heard that General Hospital star Adrian Anchondo (Marco Rios) and Colton Little (Andrew Donovan) from Days of Our Lives, officially launched their relationship. Some ABC fans thought that Little looked familiar, but couldn’t quite place him. Read on for everything we know.
The Hard Launch
When the news arrived on Adrian’s Instagram a few days ago, the photos left no doubt that this is a serious romance. One picture showed them cuddling with a kiss. Other photos focused more on the vacation destinations: Puerto Rico and Florida.
In the caption, Adrian Anchondo spoke about “Christmas” and how it made his “heart pop.” Naturally, plenty of ABC and CBS fans flocked into the comments to talk about it. One follower wrote, “Omg you and Colton make the most beautiful couple!”
Many similar approving comments arrived in the discussion. But one follower wondered, “Hold up that’s what’s his name from days?? Something Donovan?”
Well, it certainly is. Colton Little acts as Andrew Donovan, an ISA agent on Days of Our Lives. More than that, daytime soap fans have also seen him appear on General Hospital. Oh, and 9-1-1: Lone Star.
Christmas Movies & More
Of course, viewers will remember Colton from Christmas movies, like A Biltmore Christmas. In fact, he’s been seen in about three of them. He also does some writing and directing of his short movies. But notably, he’s always been very open and advocates for the LGBTQ+ community.
One of the most memorable moments with Adrian Anchondo’s new love was back when Andrew and Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) on Days were set to marry. Rather aptly, the episode aired during Pride Month.
Well, it was a very special moment for him, because as a kid, Colton didn’t see that sort of thing on TV at all. And, growing up in a small town, he felt unable to be his own real person.
Gay Roles For Adrian
As for Adrian Anchondo, GH fans know that he never made a huge official coming out statement. Instead, he’s always been open about his gender preferences. Of course, Marco Rios on GH is involved in a same-sex relationship with Van Hansis (Dr. Lucas Jones).
Additionally, Adrian is also known for appearing on Law & Order: Organized Crime as a gay cop named Detective Eric Geary. The storyline for that involved scenes where the police addressed the rising anti-LGBTQ+ crimes in New York.
