General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Is Marshall In Deep With The Mob, Or Is He Dying?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that new PC resident Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) could have a fatal illness. TPTB is dropping innuendo and hints that seem to indicate that, and it would make sense that he came back to make peace and have a proper goodbye with his son Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Marshall has a sense of urgency when he tries to connect with Curtis, does he know something the viewer’s don’t—yet? If he is dying that would explain his coming to town, deciding to stay, and working his way into Curtis’ life.

General Hospital Spoilers – Curtis Ashford is Suspicious

Marshall’s sense of urgency is coming across as pushy and entitled to Curtis who is all kinds of angry that his dead dad was really alive all this time. He reminds the older man what it was like to go through life without a father and how hard his mother had to work to support the family.

Marshall usually has the same canned answer to Curtis’ whine, that he left to protect the family, they were better off without him. but he has never gotten too specific with details about the who, what, when, why, where, and how of his decision to abandon his family.

Nor has he come right out and given a decent answer as to why he has returned now. He was gone for decades, why not let sleeping dogs lay?

General Hospital Updates – Curtis Ashford Doesn’t Trust His Dad

Perhaps it’s because Marshall knows it’s now or never. Marshall may have a deadly illness that’s going to send him to the grave soon – meaning this is his last chance to make amends.

This week Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) will hint at a sad reality ahead for Curtis and this could mean many things. Will he find out the man is dying? Or will he find out that his dad was a convict and in jail during his absence?

Also this week Marshall talked to someone on the phone about his progress and following protocol, that conversation could have been about a medical trial or procedure. It could also have been about a criminal mission.
