Kirsten Storms: The Truth About Maurice Benard Being Supportive

General Hospital (GH) star Kirsten Storms, who acts the role of Maxie Jones, made fans feel very happy when she relocated to Nashville for her mental health and well-being. Well, things turned really bad, and now, fans of ABC wonder if her co-star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) reached out to her. Read on to find out.
Kirsten Got Vocal On Social Media
Late last year, Kirsten was quiet on social media, but then more recently, she started posting a lot of stuff. It all sounded very disturbing. She talked about a lot of hacking, strangers lurking around her place, and it seemed that her new life was anything but calm and quiet.
Anyway, she later said that she was evicted from her apartment in Tennessee after she reported a break-in. In fact, she’d even gone online to share security footage, and she had also talked about someone trying to access her accounts.
Brandon Makes Things Difficult
The Franklin Police Department did confirm there was an active investigation into hacking allegations. However, things got a whole lot worse since then. Recently, her ex-husband Brandon Barash, who fans know from Days of Our Lives, made things a bit more difficult for her.
He applied for and received an emergency restraining order against Kirsten Storms just a couple of weeks ago. Mostly, it seemed to be about their daughter, Harper.
Apparently, the restraining order came after Barash managed to convince a judge that Kirsten suffered from delusions. So these days, she can’t see her daughter unless she’s with a supervisory perosn.
Fans Wonder If Maurice Reached Out
What’s happening now is very worrying because it comes after her surgery for a brain aneurysm and a cyst. Recall, she had taken a break from General Hospital to try and get over an issue where they decided that her brain cyst was sort of in a gray area.
Recently, many GH fans wondered if Maurice Benard had reached out to the real life Maxie Jones. Now Maurice Benard, who acts as the crime boss, Sonny Corinthos on the ABC show, is well known for his State of Mind podcast on YouTube, and he does a lot of advocacy for mental health.
A Quiet Sign Of Respect
Maurice Benard hasn’t had Kirsten on his podcast recently, but she did appear with him some time back. So, he went to rewatch it, and possibly he did that because he really cares for her.
In his Instagram post on Sunday this week, he said, “I didn’t know if she was going to open up or not. She’s genuinely kind of private, but she talked about everything, she was so darn impressive, she could have her own show.”
It was in the comments there that someone wondered if he had reached out to her, and it’s not the first time folks have talked about that on social media.
The Answer
One GH fan said to Maurice, “I’m sure you have, but have you reached out to her since her ex got the restraining order? She may need you now more than ever.”
Well, the short answer is “yes,” Maurice Benard did reach out to Kirsten Storms, and he gave a simple answer. At this stage, it doesn’t look like he’s going to discuss what they talked about in public and one can only respect that he respects her privacy.
Looking To The Future
Another fan asked if one day, when she overcomes her current problems, the General Hospital star might be interviewed again. Meanwhile, others were so pleased that he had reached out.
Others talked about how they felt grateful that Maurice had reposted his colleague, and others talked about how much they love the support.
One of them said, “Everyone seems to know she’s going through something and so many have decided what it is, but reposting this video is just quiet support for your friend and co-worker in the most respectful way.”

Sounds like Kirsten needs somebody on her side! The gossip I read was horrible! If you are her fan you should know her history and stand by her in troubled times! I am really sad about her ex turning on her!
Turning on her? Sounds more like he’s concerned about her, and about how her current situation is affecting their daughter. Up until recently, it seemed they were co -parenting, effectively, and had a friendly relationship. Brandon is a decent guy and wouldn’t take such drastic action if he didn’t feel it was necessary. A judge wouldn’t have granted the restraining order without evidence to support it. I absolutely adore Kirsten and pray she will do whatever she needs to, to get well. Making accusations or blaming Brandon when we really don’t know the situation, isn’t helping anyone.

I really hate the way some people are trying to make Brandon the bad guy in all of this. She is talented, beautiful, and has a lot of people who love and support her. We all want her healthy, happy, and hopefully, eventually, back on GH bringing Maxie to life like no one else can. But, in the meantime, can we refrain from accusing, blaming or judging her, Brandon, or anybody else, and just pray for them, and also for their daughter, Harper. Have some compassion and realize Harper is old enough now to understand some, if not all, of what’s going on, AND to read things that are written. Hopefully, she’ll stay off of social media for awhile.
