General Hospital (GH) spoilers and rumors tease that Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) memories hold a fatal secret; did she see someone push a childhood friend down the stairs? It seems like Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) death, Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) tumble, and Dr. Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) triggers are bringing a long-repressed traumatic memory to the surface.
General Hospital Spoilers – Elizabeth Baldwin’s Hallucinations
It seems like Elizabeth’s hallucinations and nightmares have been telling the tale as they started with a migrating wedding ring that Elizabeth herself moved around subconsciously. At first, everything she experienced seemed to relate to the death of Franco and her inner psyche telling her not to forget him; including his portrait of her mysteriously appearing. Somehow it was spared in the arson of his art studio, which she fears she herself may have set while sleepwalking.
Then she began to be violent, not being aware of her actions; she knocked out Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) as he was trying to install security camera footage in her house. It all came to a head one night when Cameron Webber (William Lipton) came home from work, finding his mother trance-like, cutting up a picture Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) drew.
General Hospital Updates – Side Effects And Sleepwalking
Elizabeth checked herself into Shadybrook, not wanting Finn’s visits when her problems were thought to be side effects of sleeping pills that caused her to sleepwalk. Elizabeth wanted to solve these problems herself, but she seemed to be agitated whenever the subject of her parents was brought up. Elizabeth has always had a problem with her father, Dr. Jeff Webber (most recently Jeffrey Dean Anderson), and her mother Carolyn Webber (uncast), and claimed they weren’t good parents. She soon felt she’s solved her problems, checked herself out, and returned to work, but it soon became apparent her problems weren’t caused by side effects and sleepwalking. She froze at the top of the flight of stairs Finn had thrown Peter down, having a flashback and hearing her own childlike voice saying “Mommy and Daddy”.
Franco Baldwin Thought He’d Killed Drew Cain
Viewers will remember when Franco’s traumatic memories began to come up when his and Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) childhood abuser Jim Harvey (Greg Evigan) came to town. Until he realized Drew really was his childhood “brother” Andy and he was alive, he’d always believed he’d killed him by pushing him down a flight of stairs.
Those stories could have been the beginning of Elizabeth’s own memories starting to come back, with Peter at the bottom of the stairs as another trigger. Does Finn trigger memories of her father killing a family friend with a push down the stairs in defense of her, her sister, or her mother?
