General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Jordi Vilasuso has left the role of Rey Rosales on the CBS soap The Young and the Restless. This week devastated fans saw a heartbreaking plot play out, one in which Rey perished in a car crash. You know what they say when one door closes, another one opens—could ABC be in the market for a new leading man? Anything is possible and if so daytime vet Vilasuso, (he also appeared on NBC’s Days of our Lives), could be the perfect love interest for lonely Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
She has not been the same since her romance with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) came to a rude end and it’s time for her to be matched with a strong leading man.

Of course, DOOL could want to pick up Vilasuso for a return engagement, and nothing is stopping CBS sudser The Bold and the Beautiful from thinking about offering Vilasuso a contract. With talent like his, it’s a matter of time before he is back at work, and he would be the perfect addition to Port Charles.
There’s also a tantalizing plotline in the play that Vilasuso could step right into as Britt is currently checking out the beefcake on Society Setups.
General Hospital Updates – Can Britt Get Over Jason Morgan?
Think about it—the chemistry between Vilasuso and Kelly Thiebaud would be off the charts. A new guy would also allow her to get rid of the shadow of pesty Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) who snatched Jason away from her. Snarly loves to think her connection to Jason was stronger, and maybe it was, but given time Brason could have made history.
Then again, the show seems to be teasing a Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) connection to Britt, and that would bring out the competitor in Carly all over again. Meow!
What Happens Next In Port Charles, New York?
Britt is rightfully concerned about having a marker for Huntington’s disease and she needs a strong partner to support her through both her fear and any eventuality that may come her way. I think he would be great on GH if he actually has a part that fits the great actor he is. Not another great actor like TJ and Molly or Spinnelli who rarely get used. If he is used properly sign him up!
