Scarlett Spears Thinks Maurice Benard Needs To ‘Get Out More’

Scarlett Spears, who acts as Donna Corinthos, the daughter of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), believes her fictional dad needs to “get out more.” Read on to find out why, and why General Hospital (GH) fans had a lot to say about it.

On Wednesday this week, Maurice Benard took to his Instagram account and shared that he went on an outing with some of his real-life family members. In his reel, the ABC veteran actor showed himself sitting in a theater next to his grandson. It looked like Milo.

Well, it’s not clear whether the motion seats were D-Box or 4DX tech, but clearly, the real-life Sonny Corinthos wasn’t into them. While his family giggled, he looked less than impressed.

In his caption, Maurice wrote:

I have never in my life been to a theater Where the chair feels like a real earthquake. You can call me, baby a wimp whatever you want, but I did not like the experience.

That’s when Scarlett Spears weighed in with her reaction.

Not Getting Out Enough?

In her comment, Scarlett told her screen dad, “Ohhhh Dad… we need to get you out more.” However, the real-life Donna Corinthos obviously joked about seeing Sonny looking uncomfortable. That’s because she added a row of red heart emojis.

Next, taking it well, Maurice replied to Scarlett with a row of laughing emojis. Certainly, it seems that away from the ABC set, the dad and daughter duo enjoy each other very much.

GH Alum Agrees With Maurice

Maurice Benard isn’t alone in not enjoying the experience of motion chair tech. Another actress from General Hospital also chimed in, but unlike Scarlett Spears, Sarah Joy Brown agreed with Maurice about those chairs. She wrote, “I hated it as well. No fun.”

If you don’t know, Sarah originally played the role of Carly Spencer before she left, and then returned briefly as Claudia Zacchara in 2009. GH fans also saw her again as Carly in a guest role back in 2014. But one thing about ABC cast members, they seem to get along very well off the set.

Scarlett isn’t the only one who laughed and decided Maurice Benard needs to get out more. In the comments, one person wrote, “Some elements were cool like feeling the mist like we’re in rain. Or like we were riding on his motorcycle…”
