Laura Wright Praises John Oliver’s General Hospital Guest Appearance

General Hospital (GH) spoilers revealed that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) wasn’t exactly a friend of WSB Head Z (John Oliver) on the ABC show. But she got real in real life and raved about his appearance on the show. Read on to find out more details.
Laura Raves About John Oliver
The Fourth of July week of the daytime drama made a lot of fans happy because Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) arrived back in Port Charles. But John Oliver as Z got a great reception as well.
Taking to Instagram on July 6, Laura Wright shared some photos and wrote in her caption, “So much fun working with you, John Oliver I absolutely LOVE my job !!!!”
Then, the real-life Carly Spencer praised the production team: “Frank V you – the writers and your incredible production team did it again!! Bravo.”
GH Fans React
The comments section quickly filled up with responses from General Hospital fans. One of them replied, saying, “Laura you’re amazing, my favorite actress on GH. š„š„ Incredible scene you’re phenomenal. ā¤ļø Carly Spencer.”
What seemed rather nice is that other cast members also responded to the post by Laura.

How Did He End Up On The Show?
Celeb Dirty Laundry reported at the end of June that “GH’s Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, has hinted that Oliver will have a significant role in storylines, so it’s easy to conclude that he’ll be playing the mysterious ‘Z.'”
Oliver first joked about wanting a role during a March episode of Last Week Tonight. He admitted he was a little jealous of Stephen A. Smith’s recurring spot on the soap, and the request eventually paid off.
He asked for a dramatic role, and General Hospital didn’t disappoint.
