General Hospital star Finola Hughes, (Anna Devane) gave actress Frances Fisher a sweet shoutout this week. You might recall her from the old CBS drama, The Edge of Night. Or, from Titanic and the ABC drama series Resurrection.

Finola Hughes Shares Sweet Things

The ABC star is always quick to shout out her fellow cast mates. And naturally, in December, she sent her thoughts out to Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe). It was a sad time for Lynn because Wayne Northrup died and he and Lynn raised their family together.

Finola Hughes didn’t let the Los Angeles fires pass by without sharing the works of a poet about the damaged city. The GH star wrote such a sweet message about the work by Tatiana Simonian. And this week, it was time for the General Hospital star to do another sweet shout-out to actress Frances Fisher.

Finola Hughes & Frances Fisher

Frances Fisher’s first love was theater. In fact, she was on Broadway and other East Coast theaters for years. Now in her 70s, she’s performing at the Colony Theatre in Burbank, California. At the moment, she plays the role of Linda Loman in Death of a Salesman.

Finola Hughes enjoyed the play very much and she recommended it to her ABC fans. In her caption on Instagram, the General Hospital star wrote:

Some performances just stun you from the jump! @francesfisher last night as Linda Loman in Death of a Salesman killed it. Tender, nuanced, funny, sweet and simple. I loved her. The entire company of actors made you feel you were in their living room. Quite something @colonytheatre 👏🏻

GH Fans React In The Comments

Theater is still very popular Stateside, so a lot of people appreciated the shoutout by Finola Hughes. If you don’t know, Death of a Salesman was written by Arthur Millar in 1948 and is a story about the American Dream. Or, the death of the dream.

Francis Fisher appreciated the shoutout, saying, “Oh, Finola, I treasure what you said to me after the show.”

Here are some reactions to the post by the General Hospital star.

  • She’s just brilliant. I have never seen her choose a bad project or turn in anything less than an astounding performance.
