General Hospital’s Maurice Benard Shares Exciting News, Interview With Johnny Wactor
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Maurice Benard had some good news to share with his fans. The actor’s YouTube channel, State Of Mind, has inked a deal with an Arts and Entertainment Network.
Fans may recall that Benard, also known as Sonny Corinthos, on the daytime drama, started State Of Mind, in his car and posted it on his Instagram Stories. It was welcomed by his followers so he moved on to YouTube even though he said no at first.
State Of Mind Goes International
The actor admitted that he had no clue whether it would work or not when he first began his live.
“Who does that? But you guys came every Sunday, even when I was in bad shape during the pandemic.
Then he was asked to go to YouTube, but he said no. However, he ended up doing it anyway. Now, one year after he launched his channel, he got a deal with Indistry Media. Fans can expect to see a new set and more guests as his show goes international this coming spring.
Benard’s YouTube channel currently has 53.3k subscribers. Fortunately, his viewers don’t have to worry because the show will continue in the video-sharing and social media platform.
Interview With Johnny Wactor
Benard also featured his friend and coworker, Johnny Wactor on his show. They talked about how they struggled with rage.
“He has an animal inside of him, like rage, a beast. He just doesn’t know how to tame it yet, but he will. When he does, he is going to be someone to reckon with as an actor,” Benard said about Wactor.
Wactor thanked Benard for his praise. He added that he needed the beast inside him in order to be a good actor.
Both actors also discussed corporal punishment and how it affects mental health. Wactor said that he experienced it with his dad, so did Benard. Fortunately, people these days are more open to mental health and seeing a therapist is now widely accepted than before.
