General Hospital’s Bluesy Burke Celebrates A Special Milestone
Bluesy Burke marked one year as Charlotte Cassadine and shared what the experience has meant to her.
Bluesy Burke, who plays Charlotte Cassadine on General Hospital (GH), celebrated a full year on the ABC daytime soap this week. Read on to find out how she feels about that.
One Year On ‘GH’
On September 8, Burke took to Instagram and shared some photos to celebrate her anniversary. One of them showed her with several older cast members, including Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain). The first photo also showed her with some of the younger cast members.
GH fans particularly liked the pictures that included Alexa Havins (Lulu Spencer), Asher Antonyzyn (Danny Morgan) and Finn Carr (Rocco Falconeri).
Burke Celebrates
In her caption, she sounded delighted about the one-year anniversary on General Hospital. Her caption said, “1 year on @generalhospitalabc!! i truly cant believe it. time really flies!!”
Then she spoke about how she feels very “grateful” to be part “of this amazing family.” She added, “i feel as though ive grown so much over this past year and ive met some of my best friends.”
Sweetly, she also thanked Frank Valentini for the chance to be on the ABC daytime soap, saying, “thank you so much @fvalentinigh and @markteschner for taking a chance on me.”
She concluded by saying that being on the show is “the best gift I’ve ever received.”
Cast Members React
In the comments section, Kayden Brenna Tokarski (Emily “Scout” Cain) joined other cast members who were sending their congratulations. She wrote, “I love you so muchhh.”
Then, Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Tait) popped up a row of heart-eyes emojis and said, “you are so loved!”
Sawandi Wilson (Dr. Isaiah Gannon) also appeared in the comments. He kept all the letters in her character’s name: “CHARLOTTE.”
Fans React
Fans were not going to stay silent on the post by Bluesy Burke, and they also responded in the discussion area:

Is She Leaving?
Some GH fans feared the anniversary post might also be a farewell. Where did that come from? Well, some fans claimed they’d seen Bluesy’s TikTok and speculated that she might be going to college.
A follower wrote, “she posted a photo on her tiktok of her new dorm, so it looks like she’s leaving.”
Another suggested she might still film if she continues her studies. They said, “She can always do what some of the other kids do and film during school breaks.”
So far, Burke hasn’t confirmed that she’s leaving General Hospital or that she’s going to college. Most fans seemed more interested in how happy she looked.
She made some good friends on the show and seems grateful for the chance she got when she took over the role of Charlotte Cassadine from Scarlett Fernandez.
