General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) reason for kidnapping Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is exposed. He doesn’t want her simply because she’s his old girlfriend, he might need her medical expertise to save Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) life.
General Hospital Spoilers: But Who’s “The Boss”?
Viewers have been under the impression that the boss that Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) has been reporting to and that Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) has been avoiding is a woman. That is because in one of Mason’s earliest appearances he referred to “her” wanting Austin to come back to the “family” and Pawtauk. Since Mason has now relocated to Port Charles himself, the assumption is that the “boss” has too, leading to the suspicion it’s Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) running the operation from Pentonville.
So, if Victor’s the one who’s got Nikolas on life support and needs Liesl’s help to keep him alive, who’s the female boss? With Constance Towers, who plays Helena Cassadine returning for a couple of appearances, it might be Helena.
GH Spoilers: Cassadine Empire
Victor was very angry when he found out that his own son Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) had betrayed him, even faking his death which broke Victor’s heart. He shot Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) right in front of him, and she is in perilous shape, although alive. Victor disowned Valentin and proclaimed he chose new heirs-specifically Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and baby brother Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay).
Although angry with and disappointed in Nikolas, he had been crucial to his operation while they played dead together-and Helena may argue she doesn’t want him dead. At one time she implied that Nikolas had poisoned her tea by having a figure painted in a teapot in her portrait, now self-destructed but maybe it wasn’t him.
General Hospital Spoilers: Nikolas Cassadine Must Be Saved Even If Not Heir
There aren’t a lot of Cassadines left to rule the world, and that might be why it’s so important for Nikolas to be saved. Liesl has worked for Victor in many of his compounds, not just the Crichton-Clark compound where Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was comatose for so many years. Liesl will fret that she needs to donate her bone marrow to preserve the life of Nina’s remaining daughter Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).
But Victor will insist that Nikolas’ life is more important and Liesl must save him before saving Willow. He’s got Liesl right where he wants her, along with an unwilling Spencer and innocent baby Ace!

Don't understand why Nik is in such a dire condition. Certainly the hit to the head Ava gave him wasn't bad enough to have him in the position stated whereby Liesel is needed to save his life. How did Nik get in such a situation?? Really must be missing something.
