Charlotte Tore Anna And Valentin Apart
Anna and Valentin broke up because of Charlotte, after Anna accidentally shot her-she’d broken into her apartment.
This was after Charlotte had committed arson, setting Anna’s townhouse on fire-Charlotte was only thirteen years old!
Then, the following summer was when Valentin was forced to work for his father, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) Charlotte was in a boarding school that year-one in Europe.
Charlotte will try to make her parents change their minds, but Lulu and Valentin will stand firm. She’ll even sass back at her father, telling him she shouldn’t be punished for doing what he taught her to do!
Valentin Stands Firm With Charlotte
Valentin is heartbroken, but he knows St. Agatha’s is the best place for Charlotte, and Lulu agreed-it sounds like it’s a Catholic boarding school operated by nuns, so there won’t be boys! It’s a done deal-as he explained to Charlotte when she objected the school year had already started.
But as he also explained, Charlotte needs much more structure than what either he or Lulu could provide keeping her in Port Charles and in public schools.
Charlotte acted like Valentin had betrayed her-like she hasn’t done anything wrong at all, but he had to stand firm with his decision, and her mother Lulu backed him.
Finally, co-parenting done right, but unfortunately, much too late-that’s what should have happened all along.
Valentin Turns To Anna
Whether there’s ever a ‘Vanna’ again or not, Valentin and Anna’s bond runs deep, and after she poured out her own heart to him, now he pours out his to her.
Anna was separated from her daughter, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) when she was much younger than Charlotte is now, so she certainly understands separation.
She’s horrified when Valentin tells her about Charlotte breaking into Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) car trying to frame him for inappropriate behavior with someone underage-namely, herself!
Anna is able to convince Valentin that sending Charlotte to boarding school was the best decision he could make, considering the situation.
Charlotte might at first feel she’s in prison, but she’ll likely get over it quickly, once she makes some true female friends-which she really doesn’t have in Port Charles.
