General Hospital (GH) fans followed the story about Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) losing his home in the Eaton Fire in January 2025, and this weekend he mentioned a “new house.” Read on for more details.
The Old House Was Destroyed
In January, Cameron Mathison opened up about the loss of his family home. ABC News reported that he planned to rebuild the home that burned in the fire that destroyed so much property in Altadena and Los Angeles County in California.
Meanwhile, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Cameron Mathison struggled with the shock of it because much of his family life disappeared forever.
He told Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) on the State of Mind podcast, “My reality, my what I know to be true, wasn’t matching reality,” He added. “Damn. Like it was there was a huge disconnect there. Like it so jarring.”
The New House Post
On Instagram on Saturday, a lot of photos came in a post that showcased some of Mathison’s summer vacations.
Another photo revealed the interior of a building, but again, that could have been taken almost anywhere.
However, there was one photo that could be the home he talked about. It was taken at night and showed a long house with a car parked outside of it.
The Photo Dump
In his caption, Cameron Mathison wrote, “Summer photo dump. New house🙏🏼. Utah and AZ. nyc. Waterparks. Red carpets and workouts.”
It’s not clear which home he talked about, as he didn’t explain whether he meant a rebuilt home on the old property or a different residence. And to make it more difficult, he did label the post as containing AI content.
Anyway, many General Hospital fans assumed that he talked about a new home that he’d gotten ready and occupied.

In the comments section, one GH fan said, “Looks like near me in AJ, the Superstitions? – beautiful area if you get time to drive or stroll in the Tonto.”
To that, the reply was a praying hands emoji.
