General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin Zeros in on Ava — But Can She Be Co-opted?
General Hospital Spoilers report Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was calm as a cucumber when the Chief Pharmacist over at GH called to let him know someone was sniffing around Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) botched medication.
Ava Jerome (Maura West) might not be his wife or truly concerned about him at all, but she played the role of both well that afternoon.
Still, nothing will slip past Valentin as he now seeks to sniff out who is pretending to be Mrs. Corinthos and why.
When he discovers Ava is the one poking her nose into his scandal, will he pull her in, or take her out altogether?
Is Ava actually in danger now that she has discovered Valentin’s secret, even though she knows nothing of his involvement?
General Hospital Spoilers — Valentin Nears His Target
When Valentin took a moment to double-check with Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) that her marriage to Sonny was indeed over, he couldn’t have been more thankful for Nina’s tendency to gossip and have the last word on every issue.
When Ava’s name rolled off of Nina’s lips, Valentin knew he had struck paydirt. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is clearly wrapped up in her own life right now — regaining control of the Metro Court Hotel.
She hasn’t been concerned with Sonny, but Ava sure has. When Valentin learns just how much Ava has infiltrated her way into Sonny’s world, he’ll have to make a judgment call about whether he can make an asset of her.
GH Spoilers Say Ava is Clueless
Of course, Ava may end up being an asset to Valentin and not even knowing it. Just because he becomes aware of her knowledge of Sonny’s botched meds doesn’t mean he has to unravel his plan and present it to her.
He could keep Ava completely on the outside of this and use her as his scapegoat if he chooses. On the other hand, he could also recognize that there must be a reason she hasn’t told Sonny something is wrong with his meds — and he’ll know it’s likely a reason that benefits Ava.
If he can scratch that itch for her, he just might make a friend out of Ava, and that could be all too helpful having someone on the inside of Sonny’s everyday life in his pocket.
General Hospital Spoilers — Will Ava Give In?
Ava has already kept the truth about Sonny’s situation to herself — despite watching Carly tailspin when she suspected Sonny might not be taking his pills.
If she is growing worried about the FBI making a target out of her, she just might see getting wrapped up with Valentin as more risk she doesn’t need to take. At the same time, she might feel his connections could better protect her than she is on her own.
Furthermore, Valentin is likely to dangle a carrot that Ava eyes as valuable to her — such as more access to Sonny that pivots him straight away from Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) and right in her direction.
