General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) could solve the paralysis puzzle for Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) and redeem himself in the process.
Valentin took note of what happened after Brennan was stabbed with the syringe-considering it was meant for him, and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) admitted it was Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) meds.
Several Around The Hospital Are Cluing In To Something Unusual Going On
Valentin’s not the only one, of course, who are cluing in to something unusual going on-Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is also suspicious, and noted it to Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).
Elizabeth said it was strange that two healthy men with no history of heart disease would have strokes in the same house within in a couple of months. Valentin’s reaction to Jack just freezing up and collapsing onto the floor was to ask what was in that syringe!
Valentin then poked around on Jack’s chest, checking for response, and he did detect a pulse, and he was still breathing.
Then he packed up his gun, told Nina to let him know if he died, and left and went back to Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) and told her.
Valentin May Think The Contents Of The Syringe Are A Paralytic Weapon
Being a Cassadine and having worked with Cesar Faison, (Anders Hove) and then running Pikeman Security Group while Jack was in prison, he knows all about weapons and drugs used as weapons! Valentin is highly suspicious, as is Elizabeth, that both Drew’s and Jack’s so-called “strokes” aren’t really strokes at all, and Valentin suspects it’s intentional.
But the one thing he’s not clear on is if the syringe really had Drew’s meds in it, or something meant for him all along.
But, he knows how he can find out what’s in the syringe-and he can find out quite easily-he’ll just go into the house and swipe one to have analyzed to see what’s in it.
When Drew bought his house, that was meant for Valentin, Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to live in, he neglected to change the locks-Valentin still has a key!
Valentin Has The Contents Of The Syringe Analyzed And Learns It Is Indeed, A Paralytic Weapon
Valentin has the contents of the syringe analyzed by a contact he still has from when he was working with Pikeman who can be trusted; as he guessed, it is a paralytic drug.
It’s one that can’t be traced, but the questionable part is, it’s designed to be injected into an IV, not stabbed directly into the body! He also learns it isn’t coming from General Hospital, so he holds his documentation to see what happens with Jack, whether he passes the drug through and recovers.
He also brings Carly into the loop and when Jack recovers, they’ll tell him what Valentin learned-and turn over the small vial that Valentin kept from what he took to have analyzed.
It’s proof both a sitting Congressman – however shady and despicable – and a WSB agent were harmed, and Jack and Valentin may give up their mutual vendettas and team up!
