General Hospital spoilers tease Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) was furious when her mother Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) conspired to secretly help Maxie out of a financial jam.
Spinelli lied that the pipes burst in his apartment and that he needed a place to live. Maxie offered as planned to let her ex temporarily move in with her.
Spinelli agreed, but only if he could pay rent. The plan worked great and soon Maxie was out of debt. But something happened while they were living under the same roof that neither of them expected.

Spinelli never really fell out of love with Maxie, although he resigned himself long ago that all the future held for them was friendship so he pushed those feelings down.
As far as Maxie is concerned, she has had relationships since Spinelli that have ended either in death, betrayal or dishonestly.
But with the two of them in such close proximity, those old feelings began to resurface and the two eventually shared a kiss and even declared their love for each other.

Spinelli finally admitted that his pipes didn’t actually burst, and his moving in was a scheme to help Maxie get out of debt. Maxie was furious with both Felicia and Spinelli, but eventually forgave them both.
They began to get closer once again when they discovered Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was alive. And while it looks like the couple have reconciled, Maxie has still insisted that Spinelli move out once again.
She most likely wants to start all over and that would mean dating, not cohabitating.

But both Maxie and Spinelli may find themselves missing each other’s company. Even though Spinelli will soon be once again embroiled in Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) life, that won’t stop him from wanting to make things more permanent with Maxie.
And even though Maxie insisted they take things slowly, or at least begin dating, Spinelli could easily be afraid that he could lose Maxie again.
To that end, he may take a shocking risk and propose to the love of his life, once again. It remains to be seen how Maxie will react if Damian does propose, there may still be a winding road before they find their happily ever after!
