General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny’s New Love Affair Brings Pressure From All Sides

General Hospital spoilers leak Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) went out on a limb earlier this week by kissing District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) — and he stepped out on it even further when he spilled the tea about it to his brother, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst).

If you’ve been tuning into GH for the last couple of decades, you know why that might have been a fatal mistake. But more importantly, it seems like Justine thinks it was a mistake, too; still, that doesn’t mean she’s not happy it happened, nor that she’s not tormented over the thought of not being able to do it again.

If Justine is her own worst critic, she’ll probably only agree with any concerns Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has to speak of, but I have a feeling he’ll be airing those with his father more than he will the District Attorney.

Ric Pumps the Brakes

Ric and Sonny might be getting along rather swimmingly right now, but we’ve seen it all before. Perhaps my perception is colored by Ric’s nefarious past, but I’m still waiting for the other shoe to drop with this guy.

I am not convinced that he really wants to be an active participant in his brother’s life. Could he be gearing up to use this salacious tidbit about Sonny and Justine against one or both of them now? Would using it against Justine be punishment enough for his brother since it would likely mean that she would lose her career and Sonny would lose her in one fell swoop? Wait for it.

GH Spoilers Gossip Turner Turns the Tide

Sonny didn’t get into that liplock all by his lonesome. He and Justine have been dancing around their burgeoning attraction to each other for some time now.

Given that she’s been rather stressed about the optics of her recent losses in court, Justine is being extra sensitive about the moves she makes at work right now.

Should that require her to take her personal life into consideration? As a public servant, it certainly does.

Cavorting with a known crime boss isn’t a good look and she knows it, but it seems like she doesn’t really want to distance herself either. Will she face scrutiny that threatens her position with the state?

Dante Doubles Down

Dante has seen his father fall for his fair share of women over the years, and he hasn’t always approved of all of them, but this really takes the cake.

Dante has always tried to be supportive of his father’s personal choices, barring all the many times he has broken the law or risked his relationship with his son.

Still, learning that his father is getting that close to the district attorney is going to give Dante cause for concern — and why shouldn’t it? He’s already walking a fine line with her at work on Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) case being complicated by suspicion of Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).

Will Sonny be any more likely to listen to reason coming from his oldest son? I doubt it! Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
