General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will suffer a medical emergency in the days ahead that may have him re-thinking some life choices.
The GH preview for the week of December 30-January 3 just dropped, and it looks as if the chest pains the mob boss had on Christmas Eve, could turn into a bonafide heart attack before 2025 hits!
So, how will this affect Sonny’s life – and his life choices – moving forward?
GH Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos Re-Examines His Personal & Professional Life
GH spoilers state that the soap’s co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, recently offered a preview to TV Insider on what fans should expect for 2025.
The two noted that Sonny will have a crisis that has him reviewing choices in both his personal and professional life. He’ll need to make a decision about his future, which will impact him and those around him.
Interestingly enough, the GH writers also noted that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will disappoint Sonny when he turns down two requests.
What could this all mean?
GH Spoilers: Is Sonny Leaving The Mob?
Depending on the fallout of this medical crisis, Sonny may have to place his crown as the reigning top mob boss in Port Charles, down. But will he decide to leave the mob for good? He may have no choice, due to his health.
Sonny may turn to Jason to hand him the mob reins; however, as Jason’s number one priority right now is Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and as the child’s only parent, Jason may refuse the request.
No one can blame Jason for making this decision, as Danny needs his father now, more than ever.
Selina Wu (Lydia Look) is also about to re-enter the canvas in 2025, and although her storyline centers around Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), this doesn’t mean she may not dabble in Sonny’s arc and rise to the mob occasion.
Perhaps someone else creeps out of the woodwork, only time will tell.
