General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Reconsiders, Tries To Call Off Dex’s Hit
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will reconsider, and try to call off the hit he sent Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to make.
He’ll have a compelling conversation with someone, and have second thoughts about ordering Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) death-but will he be able to?
General Hospital Spoilers: Dex Heller’s Mixed Feelings
Dex had mixed feelings about carrying the hit out on Cyrus the way it was-he didn’t think Sonny was making a wise decision. He also was conflicted about what Josslyn Jacks (Courtney Fulk) would think were she to find out he was the one who completed Sonny’s hit.
He tried to talk his boss out of it, telling him he was afraid killing Cyrus would only make things worse for Sonny, who’s out on bail.
Sonny had beaten Cyrus nearly to death the way it was, and kept beating him and taunting him to fight back and Cyrus didn’t. This was all over taking frustration out for his betrayals by Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
GH Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos’s Second Thoughts-Are They Too Late?
After Dex heads out to the hospital where he’s to kill Cyrus in a very specific way, Sonny has second thoughts after having a compelling conversation.
This may be a talk with his daughter Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) who’s giving him her support. Sonny rethinks the whole thing and realizes that killing the only witness to Cyrus’ beating, who is Cyrus himself, might be a little too obvious and lead straight back to him.
Dex tried to tell him that among other things, but Sonny wasn’t listening, he could only see that eliminating Cyrus was his only way out of the charges.
Cyrus had told his sister Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that Sonny was the one who beat him and as a result, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) had to arrest him.
General Hospital Spoilers: Dex Heller Has His Phone On Silent
When Sonny tries to reach Dex, he can’t get ahold of him- he either has his phone on silent, not even on vibrate, or turned off entirely.
The last thing an assassin needs is for his phone noise to give him away, and Dex is disguised in scrubs and injects Cyrus’ IV with something deadly. The substance is supposed to give Cyrus the effect of having a fatal heart attack, which would be something that could be expected.
Cyrus had an out of body experience after his beating in Pentonville, and if Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) hadn’t given him CPR he’d have died.
Unfortunately for Cyrus, there may not be a saving angel like Drew nearby-unless he gets really, really, lucky!
