General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Flustered By Noticing Similarities Between Dex and Jason?
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there might be a reason why Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) seemed flustered in a recent interaction with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). It seems Sonny realized who Dex reminded him of – his predecessor, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
General Hospital Spoilers: There Have Always Been Similarities
Viewers have noticed there have always been similarities between Dex and Jason, right from the first time Sonny noticed his moves in the fighting ring at Volonino’s.
That is one reason Sonny took enough notice to take Dex on as a possible replacement for Jason as his enforcer, even though there was more to it.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had hired Dex as a plant to infiltrate Sonny’s organization and then take him down, only recently cancelling that plan.
In the meanwhile, plenty of comparisons have been drawn by fans of Dex to Jason, even speculating Jason was Dex’s birth father. The romance of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) the good girl with Dex the bad boy reminds them also of Jason, when he and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) were involved.
GH Spoilers: Bonding Occurring Between Sonny Corinthos And Dex Heller
Dex’s bond to Sonny probably began in Pozzulo’s when Dex found some of Sonny’s recipes handed to him by Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta). She is Lois Cerullo’s (Rena Sofer) mother, and Sonny grew up close to the Cerullo family, as did Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).
Sonny had also invited him to have some pasta with him, which inspired Dex to cook the recipes for Sonny later-that’s when Dex saw another side of Sonny.
At that point, Sonny began feeling like a father to Dex, and he saw in Sonny a genuine heart and more than a vicious mobster figure. Sonny also started seeing things he liked in Dex, and a different side of him as well.
General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos More Impressed-And Feels Closer
Recently, Sonny has been even more impressed with Dex, making a comment that he was impressed with him in the heat of the Pikeman discussion.
He asked for Dex’s input regarding the Pikeman situation and that lead to Dex’s incredible attention to detail, Sonny remarking “damn, turn you on and you just go!”
Sonny is seeing even more things in Dex that remind him of Jason, personal things that remind him of his life-long friend and more than an enforcer-Dex’s loyalty, for instance.
Sonny long was able to trust Jason with his life, and that same trust is forming with Dex; perhaps there’s even more of a reason. Is it possible that Jason could be Dex’s birth father, and sometime soon it’ll be proven?
