General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will argue over Nina’s solution for Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) plight soon on GH!
General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Reeves Bought Carly Corinthos’ Half Of The Metro Court
Nina declined Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) offer to sell her Crimson Magazine, which he had wanted to do in order to help Carly recoup her losses. However, Nina had a better idea, which she didn’t discuss with anyone before doing it; she contacted Stillwater Investments and bought out Carly’s half of the Metro Court. Then Nina told Carly about her purchase and offered to give it back to her; no strings attached, which Carly promptly refused!
Nina meant this is as a kind gesture olive branch to make amends with Carly over the Sonny issues over the past year. She knew Carly didn’t have the money to buy her half of the hotel back and she wanted to help-but Carly’s pride got in the way.
GH Spoilers: Carly Corinthos Will Never Take Anything From Nina Reeves!
Sonny, Drew, and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) had already tried to help Carly and made suggestions to get her half of the hotel back but she had refused them as well. She was so sure that the ELQ and Aurora Media merger would go through she didn’t give a thought to financing all that stock by putting up her half-ownership.
But if she wouldn’t take help from Drew, Olivia or Sonny, what made Nina think she’d take help from her; Nina’s gesture only has increased tensions between the two! Just like when Sonny’s grand gesture for Carly backfired when she was late in meeting him on the Haunted Star and found him and Nina in bed, Nina’s grand gesture backfired! Carly will never take anything from Nina and that includes Sonny after Nina had her grubby claws into him!

Sonny understands Nina meant well by her grand gesture, but she doesn’t understand how it affected Carly, and that Carly’s pride is a big part of who she is. Nina’s not a big one on preserving someone’s pride, because to Nina, pride equates to egotism and she won’t feed someone’s already overinflated ego! That would even apply to Sonny himself and she lets him know it in no uncertain terms; and she’s not happy Carly wouldn’t accept her help.
Sonny is upset because Nina pushed Carly to the point of no return and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will only retaliate harder to run Sonny out of business! Nina thinks Carly and Michael could both stand to be taken down more than a few notches even if Michael is Sonny’s adopted son!
GH Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos And Nina Reeves Have Some Major Issues To Work Out
This argument over Nina’s trying to help Carly and how she tried to help her brings to the forefront some major issues Sonny and Nina will have to work out. The argument got so intense between them that Sonny even questioned Nina’s motives for trying to help Carly in spite of him finally conceding she meant well! They are finding that there are differences in the way each one of them thinks and views life itself that are dissonant to the point of being divisive! If they cannot accept those differences in each other, then Sonny and Nina’s relationship may not last!
