General Hospital Spoilers: Should Ava Be Worried About Ric & Alexis’ Connection – Exes On The Cusp Of Reunion?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that things are getting mighty steamy between Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Ava Jerome (Maura West). Still, while the two are officially “a thing” they aren’t exactly screaming this off the rooftops.
While Ric seems to like Ava, it also appears as if he’s remaining hush-hush on their romance for another reason – to keep his options open. While it looks like he still has his eyes on a reunion with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), will he hook back up with another ex?
Alexis Davis & Ric Lansing’s Connection
It’s been a hot minute since Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was romantically linked to Ric, but back in the day, they shared a pretty steamy relationship. As fans know their past romance resulted in Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) – this is a tie and connection that can never be broken.
Still, ever since Ric flew back into the Port Charles picture, he and Alexis have been at each other’s throats.
After Molly’s baby girl passed away, Ric felt as if Alexis was paying her other daughter (who also happened to be Baby Irene’s surrogate mother) Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), more attention in the aftermath. In addition, the two also fought about Ric being Ava’s defense lawyer as well as ripping Kristina on the stand during her trial.
Recent Scenes Seem To Hint A Reunion
With that said, recent scenes between Ric and Alexis seem to hint that the two could rekindle things. The fact that they came together to decorate Alexis’ home for the holidays to make things special for Molly was nice. The scenes of the two co-parents doing this were adorable, as well, and showed a softer side to the both of them.
Still, a more recent interaction proves that something more could develop between the exes. During the Monday, February 24 episode, Ric arrived at Alexi’s workplace to drop off something for Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy). Alexis was visibly upset, having the information about Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) murderer confirmed earlier on.
Ric asked what was wrong, and Alexis tried to fluff him off before he told her he wasn’t leaving until he found out. This is when she revealed that Sam’s killer was Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and the two embraced.
Sure, there’s a lot of hate between Alexis and Ric, but there’s still some feelings there. Will the two act on them, anytime soon?

Can’t imagine any man “choosing” Alexis – at all. But to choose her over Ava? What a joke. Sure Ava’s crazy and impulsive and always involved in some kind of drama, but so is Alexis. The difference is, Ava looks beautiful and classy doing it, and Alexis looks (and sounds) like a neurotic, screeching harpy.
I hope Ric and Alexis do get back together. They deserve each other. Maybe then they’d both leave. And, I’d really like to see what would happen if Ava and Brennan crossed paths. I think, now that we’ve seen his more ruthless, diabolical side, he and Ava would be great together. And, I’m really starting to like Chris McKenna in the Brennan role.
