General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there will be a huge shock for Laura Collins (Genie Francis) when she checks in on Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West). Nikolas told his mother he’d slept with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and she was pregnant–Ava will tell her Elizabeth miscarried but he also slept with Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl)!
General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Collins Aghast
All this with Esmé and Nikolas happened when Laura was in Europe helping her mother Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) and her boyfriend Marcello (unknown actor) after a fire. This was something that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) had arranged, to get Laura out of town when Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) ordered him to assassinate her. Laura knows that Ava and Nikolas have been having many problems, but didn’t know about the one night stand with Esmé.
Laura absolutely cannot blame Ava for wanting to divorce her son, given that news. She also cannot blame Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) for not wanting anything to do with his father-she learns he knows about both affairs.
GH Spoilers: Why?
Laura cannot understand why Nikolas would sleep with his son’s girlfriend, even though Ava tells her that Spencer and Esmé were broken up by that time. Spencer was getting ready to testify at Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) trial, when Ava found out about Nikolas sleeping with Esmé. Spencer found out much later, right before Ava was attacked by The Hook and he was getting ready to go to Pentonville. All Laura can react with is to ask why, why would Nikolas do such a horrible thing-he’s old enough to be Esmé’s father. Laura wishes she could have been home during that time, perhaps she could have intervened and prevented some of the pain.
General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Collins Will Confront Her Son
One thing is for certain-Laura will confront her son, and she’ll demand answers. She’ll want to know exactly what happened and whose idea it was to have sex with a girl less than half his age. Ava says he claims it was Esmé who seduced him, and again, Laura is aghast, she can give Nikolas no excuses; what if Esmé is actually underage? She has no birth certificate to show although she must have gotten into Spencer’s private school somehow; Ava and Nikolas knew nothing of a girlfriend when they visited him there.
Laura will do some digging into Esmé and whether her stories line up; she knew she was trouble with a capital t, but this could even be worse. If she’s younger than she claims to be, both Nikolas and Spencer could be in serious trouble.
