General Hospital Spoilers: Sam and Dante Will Be Family Forever — Even When They Split

General Hospital Spoilers gush Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may be lucky in love right now, but it appears that many GH fans have glossed over the big picture since the two of them got together.

Sam and Dante have been kept apart for most of their time in Port Charles. When they did crossover, it was at large gatherings where they didn’t have much to do with one another.

Once those softball games came into play, flirtation filled the air more so than family. Yes, family. That is what Sam and Dante are, after all.

With speculation that the end may be nearing for this couple, we have to wonder whether they’ll be able to continue keeping their lives separate post break-up, or if GH will constantly have them butting heads as they try to move on with their lives within the same family unit.

There is no need for six degrees of separation for these lovebirds. While they aren’t the first in Port Charles to shack up after sharing siblings, we can hardly forget that Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) is both Dante’s half-sister and Sam’s half-sister. A little icky?

Maybe, but there is no blood relation. Kristina’s parents are Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Dante’s parents are Sonny and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa Lo Cicero).

Sam’s parents are Alexis and Julian Jerome (William deVry). That’s one concise but not-so-tidy family tree!

GH Spoilers Tease Leo and Molly are Often Forgotten

On the other side of that tree is yet another sibling they both share. Yes, it’s a two-fer! Leo Quartermaine is Sam’s half-brother and Dante’s half-brother.

Leo’s parents are Olivia — Dante’s mother, and Julian — Sam’s father. He and Kristina have no ties at all. But there is some interesting overlap since Julian’s sister — Ava Jerome (Maura West) — ended up having a child with Sonny, too.

That child, Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola), is Sam’s cousin and Dante’s sister. On the flipside, Sam’s sister — Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) — was born to Alexis and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst).

Alas, it comes full circle because that makes Sam’s sister Dante’s cousin.

General Hospital Spoilers — Don’t Sidestep Baby Lila

There is one member of the family who is gone but not forgotten, although it would appear as though she came and went without much mention in the last two decades.

Yes, it was almost twenty years ago that Sam gave birth to a stillborn daughter named Lila McCall. Sam suffered from a placental abruption that led to the baby’s death after a stressful altercation with her mother, Alexis — who pleaded with her to induce labor early to give the umbilical cord stem cells to Kristina, who was suffering from leukemia at the time.

The kicker? Lila’s father was Sonny. Shew! Do Sam and Dante stand a chance of dodging each other over the holidays if they don’t work out? It sure doesn’t look like it! Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
