General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Exposes Monet’s Dark Past – Is Jordan’s Sister Plotting Vicious Revenge?

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) doesn’t trust Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) either. Does she know something no one else does?

Not even Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) knew Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) had a sister—well, half-sister—but might Portia know her from the past?

Key Takeaways

• Portia may know something about Monet’s past.
• Marcus Taggart connects Portia and Jordan.
• Monet’s arrival has raised suspicions.
• Jordan and Monet’s estrangement remains unexplained.
• Curtis could be caught in a revenge plot.

Portia And Jordan Have Someone Else In Common In Their Past Besides Curtis

Portia and Jordan have someone else in common in their past besides Curtis, and that was Portia’s first husband, Marcus Taggart (Réal Andrews).

Marcus, after leaving the Port Charles Police Department, wound up working for the Drug Enforcement Administration on a team with Jordan, and they became close friends.

They were working on a team specifically to take down drug kingpin Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), although he had always managed to evade them.

Might Monet be someone Marcus knew, and might he have known that she and Jordan were related?

The two of them were close, although always platonic. Anything is possible, and considering that when they were after Cyrus, he was on the West Coast, just like Monet—she came to Port Charles from California.

With Monet’s mysterious past and possible motives already raising questions, could Marcus be the missing connection?

Monet Seems To Bring With Her Something That Inspires Suspicion

Monet seems to bring something with her that inspires suspicion. Even Curtis is suspicious of her, although he hired her for his appeal.

Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) is suspicious of her as well, even though she seems to be a legitimate lawyer, at least.

According to her business card, she’s just started working at Miller and Davis, but her name has never been mentioned by either Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) or Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy).

She’s full of confidence, that’s for sure—perhaps a little too much confidence—acting like she’s never lost a case.

It almost seems like she’s a little too self-confident, kind of like a con artist playing a game to get people to trust her!

As Stella considers investigating Monet’s background, the questions surrounding Jordan’s younger sister continue to grow.

Perhaps Portia Knows The Secret That Divided Jordan And Monet

Perhaps Portia knows the secret that divided Jordan and Monet. Maybe it happened while Jordan and Marcus were working together in the DEA.

Might it be that Jordan stole a boyfriend or husband from Monet before she became involved with the Ashford family?

Might Marcus have known about this, since he and Jordan were close friends and maybe she confided in him?

If so, Portia might just give Curtis a warning about dealing with Monet because Portia has a feeling she’s out for revenge on Jordan.

And there’s no fury quite like that of a woman scorned!

The possibility of Monet targeting Curtis to get revenge on Jordan certainly makes her sudden arrival in Port Charles even more intriguing.

Editor’s Take

I think there’s definitely more to Monet than she’s letting on. She’s far too eager to get involved in Curtis’ life, especially considering her troubled relationship with Jordan.

And if Portia knows something about Monet’s past, I wouldn’t be surprised if Marcus Taggart somehow figures into the story.

But I also wonder whether Monet is simply using Curtis to get back at her sister. Whatever happened between these two women must have been serious!

Do you think Portia knows Monet’s secret, or is Jordan’s sister plotting revenge for something that happened years ago?
