General Hospital Spoilers: Monet’s Real Reason To Represent Curtis-After Her Sister’s Man?
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) might have an ulterior motive to court Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) as a client. Monet’s real reason to represent Curtis perhaps is because she’s after her sister’s man!
Jordan May Not Have Kept Track Of Monet, But It Appears Monet Kept Track Of Her!
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) may not have kept track of Monet, but it appears Monet kept track of her-and Jordan suspects that’s why she moved to Port Charles.
The estrangement between the sisters happened years ago, even before Jordan’s marriage to Curtis’ brother Tommy Ashford, (uncast) apparently. Otherwise Curtis would have known who she was when she showed up in his hospital room, trying to convince him to hire her to represent her.
Monet was pushing an appeal, since Pentonville obviously isn’t a safe place for Curtis to be. But something had to separate this pair of sisters so completely, so irrevocably, that Monet almost seems like she wants some kind of revenge-perhaps, romantic revenge!
This Separation Had To Have Happened Over Thirty Years Ago
This separation had to have happened over thirty years ago, considering it happened before Jordan was connected to the Ashfords. And there’s nothing like a sister stealing a sister’s man to create that kind of bitterness and deep emotional wounds-this goes back to before TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) was born.
Jordan was already out on her own and in the Drug Enforcement Agency when he was born, and Tommy killed by friendly fire, by Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore).
Whatever happened, and whoever it happened with, may have been why Jordan left where ever she and Monet grew up, and never looked back-strangely, Jordan’s never mentioned her parents either.
Are they estranged from Jordan as well, over whatever happened between her and Monet, being the younger sister, as sometimes happens?
Monet Did Her Homework On Jordan’s Life
Monet obviously did her homework on Jordan’s life after leaving home, and there is virtually no chance that she doesn’t know Curtis is Jordan’s man, and has been before as well.
She seems to be taking advantage of the situation to worm her way into his life by being his lawyer-the one who gets him out of Pentonville early, being his heroine.
She’s already pushed the idea of appealing the sentence and thinks she can make a case for early release, plus expunging his criminal record.
Monet is going for the full Monty, her sister’s man, her sister’s city, and perhaps to ruin her sister’s life. She proved her intent with her sick remark about Jordan’s scars, setting her back in her healing progress!
