General Hospital Spoilers tease that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) was once a notorious serial killer who tormented Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) as well as many other Port Charles residents for months. But it was later revealed that Franco suffered from an enormous tumor in his brain that caused his sadistic behavior. Once the tumor was removed, Franco became an upstanding citizen in Port Charles, although his past followed him everywhere he went until his untimely murder by Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
General Hospital Spoilers – Franco Baldwin found love with Elizabeth Webber!
Franco was even able to find romance with Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). It took awhile, but the two fell in love, despite Franco’s past. Elizabeth was so sure that Franco had changed that she married him, and let him help her raise her three sons. All three of the boys grew to love Franco. Elizabeth’s oldest son was the hardest to convince of Franco’s sincerity, but eventually the two of them became really close. Everything seemed to be going well until Franco received the news that the tumor was coming back, and this time it would be inoperable.
General Hospital Spoilers – Peter August was worried that Franco Baldwin had information that could incriminate him!
It wasn’t long before the tumor resurfaced that Franco had Drew Cain’s memories implanted in his mind. For awhile Franco believed he was Drew. Eventually, the procedure was reversed although Franco still had fleeting images that were actually some of Drew’s residual memories. This worried Peter because Drew had information that could incriminate Peter August (Wes Ramsey) of some horrible crimes in his past. Not wanting anyone to find out, Peter eventually murdered Franco in cold blood.
General Hospital Spoilers – Franco Baldwin was worried that his serial killer persona would return.
Worried that his serial killer persona would return along with the brain tumor, Franco left his home with Elizabeth and the boys. Thankfully, Franco never reverted to his old self but that seems exactly what Peter will claim as he is tried for Franco’s murder.
With Martin Gray (Michael E Knight) as his lawyer, Peter will pull out all the stops to be acquitted even if that means tarnishing Franco’s name even further. It likely wouldn’t be difficult to convince a jury that Franco was trying to kill him given Franco’s past. This news will likely infuriate both Elizabeth and Cameron, who will do whatever they can to restore what’s left of Franco’s reputation.
