General Hospital spoilers reveal Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) can’t legally divorce anyone since legally, he’s not someone, but that won’t stop Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) from giving him the option soon.
Eddie might suspect that his so-called wife is playing games and trying to lure him into legally acting as though he is Ned Quartermaine, but rumor has it Liv just wants to stop living in purgatory.
Olivia has had a tough time reconciling what her family is going through, but she has finally accepted what may be her fate.
Living out her life with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) by her side may not be in the cards after all. Will a divorce set them both free though?
General Hospital Spoilers — Ned is No More
Olivia has recently come to a pretty harsh conclusion that she may never see her husband again. When she looks into Eddie’s eyes, she doesn’t see Ned. He truly believes he is Eddie and that’s that.
She’s not going to spend the rest of her life fighting him over it or risking chasing him away. She has Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) to think about.
So when she offers Eddie the ultimate freedom — a divorce — she will expect that he will jump at the chance to dissolve their marriage and move on with his life.
GH Spoilers Hint Eddie Doesn’t Want a Divorce
The last thing Eddie wants is a divorce from Olivia right now. She is the strongest ally he has in terms of keeping himself out of a mental institution.
His mother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), is fit to see him tied up in a straight jacket, but Olivia won’t let that happen. Ending their marriage would only relinquish that kind of power back over to Tracy.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Eddie will let Olivia know his reasons for not wanting a divorce, but he may have to string her along if he wants to keep it to himself.
General Hospital Spoilers — Dating Instead of Divorcing
If Eddie needs a reason to explain why he wants to stay married to Olivia, he just may have to lead her to believe he’s somewhat interested in exploring who they were — or could be — as a couple.
